The thing I don't understand.... Why the fuck do you care?? The guy likes "subtly" to stir up shit a bit sometimes and so many of you fall right into it...

There are many other reasons to not understand him or to have issues with him. Though his points in the starbucks threads make sense. Why hate a company that does not force you to go there. Does it matter to you if they over roast their beans if there are 100 other places to buy coffee from as well?

It is your choice to visit a starbucks. So why celebrate the closing of a few because some consumer does not particularly like how they do things?

So in essence isnt he actually promoting free thought and choice by saying nobody is forcing you to eat or drink there? Hell I think I have also added to my brain that he actually thinks people can and should make their own and also that he makes the best coffee regardless, which I think could be debatable but I have never tried his.

Starbucks is there for me when I am not home.

That answer is simple. They have put so many smaller coffee houses out of business, and the only thing they offer is the name. the coffee is over priced, and poor quality.

I do not buy from them, and never will.

Starbucks coffee is consistant. So is the coffee from Dunkun Donuts. That is important to some including me who like to know what there paying for. If your a coffee drinker, then you know how bad a cup can be from a random store where you end up dumping it.

I think they oversaturated their niche to eliminate as much competition as possible and now it's the perfect time to downsize.
