Actually I did not know Dean when this happened nor do I know why he was banned....

he rebel'd against the machine (GFY)

back a few months when GFY was WAY lag and people were all pissy...

Dean made a post sorta trashing lensman and playboy and gfy...

something to that extent...

said that there should be a better running machine for the advertisers...


and then... blip.... no more dean

shortly after, the problem was resolved... the DBs n shit were reorganized and better servers or something ...

Dean had the balls to say what everyone here was thinking at the time and he got banned for it. :(

I think it was just then that we all realized how shit really is.

We were like a bunch of little kids teasing the sleeping giant and then one day the giant woke up and ate one of us and all the rest of us fell right the fuck into place.

People here have said and done much worse than Dean ever did.

But I dunno.. maybe that's just the booze talkin'.

Dean decide to break the rules of GFY. He has made it clear to us that he does not want to come back to GFY.

Now, from the standpoint of a fan... Admittedly I am a huge fan of Dean's work and think he is one of the top if not THE best photographer in this business.

C'mon Eric, did he say anything that wasn't true? GFY is no longer just owned and run by our family from Adult.com (You and Lens), it got bought by the Bunny.

And after it got bought it started to get really slow.

It's not anymore and I give you guys props for that, but it was embarrassingly slow back then.

Actually, I was there for Dean when he got banned. I've been included in part of the ongoing email chain that keeps him banned.

Bottom line is that Dean really doesn't care if he is banned here or not. He speaks his mind and right or wrong, I respect him even more for that. :2 cents:

Maybe just let it go and unban him. What's the harm in that? He's a good guy.

Perhaps I'm naive, but I'd be interested in hearing how that thread led to a permanent ban. He really didn't say a whole lot that I would find offensive if I was you or Lens.

Could you please explain to me what was wrong with his posts, 'cause I'm just not seeing it. I've read every post he made in that thread twice and it's still going right over my head what was so horrible about his words...

Read the last post in the thread. Lensman made it clear what Dean did. Do a search for Dean's posts prior to that, we never had a problem about him speaking out about the slow nature of GFY prior to that.
