Troyer's Girlfriend Speaks Out

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. ? In the wake of Verne Troyer's sex tape revelation, the girlfriend of the diminutive "Austin Powers" star has come forward to dispel rumors about him.
Chief among these rumors was the notion that the 2-foot-8-inch Troyer was disproportionately well endowed. Ranae Shrider, who shares an apartment with Troyer, dismissed such claims.

"The only thing I'm going to say," she said while speaking on a morning radio talk show in Tampa, Fla., "This is all I'm going to say. As previously reported on interviews made by him, it is definitely not a tripod."

Shrider also said that she and Troyer never authorized the release of the sex tape, which they claim was stolen from their apartment. Troyer also sued gossip website TMZ for their role in distributing the tape.

U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez has ruled in Troyer's favor, writing that Troyer's motion "demonstrated that he will suffer irreparable harm to his reputation" if the tape is distributed.

In response, TMZ removed a 25-second clip of the video. Another post describing the actor's lawsuit remained active.

SugarDVD had offered Troyer $100,000 for the right to broadcast the 50-minute sex tape.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The woman in a sex tape featuring Verne Troyer -- best known for his role in the "Austin Powers" movies -- says she allowed celebrity Web site TMZ to broadcast snippets of the tape.

Verne Troyer's ex-girlfriend, Ranae Shrider, said the sex tape was created with her camera.

Troyer's ex-girlfriend, Ranae Shrider, signed a declaration filed in federal court in Los Angeles stating the tape was created with her video camera. Her statement prompted a judge to allow TMZ to reinstate a post featuring snippets of the tape.

The judge had temporarily barred TMZ from showing or broadcasting any portion of the tape on its Web site or TV show. The post was restored by Tuesday evening.

The judge has still barred a porn distributor named in a $20 million lawsuit filed by Troyer from distributing or taking orders for the 50-minute tape.

Troyer starred as Mini Me in two "Austin Powers" movies. His lawsuit alleged the tape was stolen. Shrider's statement says she believes she also owns the tape, but so far has only given permission to TMZ to air it.
