Whats an alternative to ICQ that will receive ICQ offline messages?

Trillian has been as fucked up lately as ICQ.

GTalk.

Lighter and faster than ICQ. Doesn't fuck up. Have sensible IDs, way better than numbers. Have offline msgs option. Built-in email system.

Best thing is, save history on web .. so your PC, laptop, work PC .. all chat logs are synchronized.

you don't have to ask .. "hey bro, what is your email, again?"

plus, you can send email and it would look like it came from [email protected] .. and you can also import pop3 mails into gmail.

and gmail's spam filter is better than many.

i think im moving into gTalk more myself .. i made a poll not to long ago about this

True there are plenty of good alternatives but ICQ is what most people are using.
I installed Trillian and so far it seems to cover my needs.

Phone and voicemail is the best.:)

i use pidgin and love it :thumbsup

Skype and Trillian would be better.

pidgin is free and open-sourced... may not mean much to you but means tons to me... it also supports a bunch of protocols >> aim, bonjour, google talk, icq, msn, irc, myspaceim, xmpp and yahoo.

it really does work well and i would suggest you check it out
