Running multiple instances of ICQ 6?
I was recently obligated to install ICQ 6 after a long battle of keeping 5.1 avoiding all the probs ICQ 6 had.
With ICQ 5.1 lite i was able to run multiple instances of icq (2 accounts running simultaneously) and now can't seem to find a way to replicate this with ICQ 6. Does anyone know how to achieve this without using 3rd party software (i.e. Trillian) ? Thanks in advance. Bosco |
Anyone know anything about this?

You can do it with Trillian easy enough. Dunno about ICQ6.

Adium does this if you are on Mac.

You could always run the process as a different user.

Method number two:using virtual desktops-with this method you can run unlimited instances of almost any program(some programs have protection against that) This is program which allows that: http://www.muukka.net/multidesktop/ |
Use Pidgin. It is stable, you can add as many accounts as you want, it is free, history is searchable, many protocols supported...
It's pretty much the best thing out there, paid or free. |
sounds like a bad dream... multiple icqs running... so many hot chicks will want to talk to you! haha
