Voice talking (via mic) over the internet
 

Is there any software which I can use to talk to over the net to some buds of mine?

I'm not picky as long as the lag isn't bad.

Peer to peer? Something I can put on one of my servers?

I am tired of spending $600 on a phone bill to talk to buddies of my around the world.

Besides, my accountant suspects it might not be all business calls. ;)

Yahoo messenger works great. You can use cam as well.

There's a piece of USB hardware called "Creative VOIP Blaster". It's pretty cheap (less than $20 in USA), but your friends must have it too.

You can plug your phone into it and just talk.
I bought one for me and for my girlfriend about a year ago, but her VOIP is broken. I'm looking to buy another one to replace it, but isn't easy to find it here in Brazil.

That vonage phone Looks pretty cool, but it's not available in my area. :(

It has indeed been a long time! How the hell are you doing? I've been keeping busy, just bought a house and had to relocate my office to a new town as well.

I was officially kicked off the keyboard for a few days by docs (and Enchantress') orders when I cut the hell out of my palm.

Damn that VOIP Blaster looks great! Cheap too! I could get everyone I BS with one of those as an early christmas present, but then I read that they do not work on LAN's with firewalls! DAMN...

Still makes me think I could figure it out, so I just might try one out myself.
