Royalty Free Music, where can I get it?

I have a link list to the free and pro music sites from my RedShoe site, but I feel like I've exhausted them.

I'm looking for disc's of music, not just one or two songs. I need it to be hard rock/metal or dirty south hip-hop, but no techno or trance.

Anyone got any good sources?

munki 07-01-2008 06:06 AM

I've got a producer/mixer I might be willing to lend ya...

RedShoe 07-01-2008 06:07 AM

I really like this song http://www.beatsuite.com/itemdetails/2841/ but it's $60.00

I'm used to buying 10 songs for $100.00 from some sites. If it were my trailer, I'd drop the $60.00 no problem.. but my clients don't really like doing that.

But then again, I cut my own shit at a huge discount. :)

Sounds nice, :)

Would they be able to produce music with beats, or tempos similar to the first four here?

Or like this?

Would they be able to do maybe 10 - 20 per disc, and at a reasonable price?

I'll put you guys in touch... and he can tell ya. He should be back from his vaca in a few days and I know he was looking for some tour work, if he didn't get picked up he'll probably be pretty quick too.

Yeah that interests me too, most of the royalty free music that you can find around the web sucks serious balls.

The stuff I've been buying is perfect for one of my clients, but I ran out of it.

I use a couple of Partners in Rhyme CDs, pretty decent stuff there at a reasonable price.

Awesome, I just need 50 of those. :1orglaugh

I need some high energy (think snowboarders, and skateboarders), some hip-hop and some good metal beats (think along the lines of the beats from Dr. Feelgood and Enter Sandman)

If you call, I won't answer so you can lay down the beats.

Oh and I got 40 of those trailers due this week.. so.. if you could kinda get those to me with a quickness, I'd appreciate it. :thumbsup

I wiped them out brother. :(

RedShoe 07-01-2008 12:17 PM

I basically hit all these.

RoyaltyFreeMusic.com
SoundClick
Productiontrax.com
Music Bakery
The Beat Suite
Partners In Rhyme
FreePlayMusic.com
Smartsound.com
Shockwave-Sound.com
StockMusic.net

My resources might be a touch out of date though, I need newer sites to hit up.

Chris 07-01-2008 12:22 PM

another good idea is just hit up myspace bro
find the unsigned artist that have a good sound and then ask them if you can use a track... you will 99% of the time get a yes

For as much of a cool idea that is, I barely got time to shop for it on a site where I know it's at.

I must be looking in the wrong place on those sites because I didn't see any royalty free work.

seems like a good resource though.

Not to sure how they're licensing works though, seems like some guys are remixing a little and calling it public domain after that.

AdultIndustryMusic.com has been around for a while. Not sure about the quality of songs. I think I saw Jeff post on GFY a little while back about it.

Thanks for the link. semi-good stuff. Their hard rock isn't very hard, or very fast paced.
