I have a pc at home I want to access from my laptop when I am away ?? Does anyone know a good program for this. I can upload to my server and download to my laptop but there has to be an easier way.... Thanks

Remote Desktop is the best solution for this, and it's already part of Windows.

Remote Desktop is a nice quick solution... but isn't gonna help you much if you want to hop on your computer real quick from a friend's mac... situations like that are why I love my logmein...

I have a laptop in the bathroom I mainly watch Hulu.com on when Im doin my thing. I use logmein from there too, so if im in the middle of an icq convo (sorry people probably too much info and I wont get many wanting to talk to me on icq again :( ) rather than break away in the middle. I just use logme in so I dont even have to log out of icq. Just type from my laptop. The file manager thing for the pro version is also very much worth the money if you are on a trip since its faster than uploading to ftp then downloading to the computer you are working on. Just use the file manager and grab whatever file you need. I havent tried it with super large files, but like 100mb and under I have and it works awesome.:thumbsup

I log into my Windows desktop from my Mac laptop all the time, so I don't see how I'd have any problem from a friends. There's a free Remote Desktop client for OSX from Microsoft.

Still a bit easier for me to just pop open firefox or ie wherever i'm at... but they's all jus toolz right... use what ya like, and use it well...

My girl is the real IT professional, she enlightened me. Otherwise, I'd have been paying for something we didn't need to be paying for. This means more money for her to spend or useless shit. :1orglaugh

Logmein free is the best as it lets you through firewalls and all. Simple download. Easy access.
