I'm quitting smoking! Wanna join?

I'm planning to quit smoking tomorrow. Not because smoking will cause me to die sooner, but because smoking costs money, makes your dick shorter, reduces your stamina, and gives bad breath. All facts considered, quitting will cause more and better sex :glugglug

Anyone wanna join me in quitting? :thumbsup

[Labret] 10-20-2002 12:32 PM

Its not punk to quit.

Since when does a punk care whether they have a tiny pecker and stinky breath?

Dildozer 10-20-2002 12:33 PM

I'm in in the next few days. Had chest pains and turns out i have brochitis and maybe asthma so no more smoking for me! Got a prescription for the patch, i'm ready baby!

best of luck to you, dude. I quit almost 2 months ago, and only wish I had done it sooner, rather than waiting 16 years.

on a sidenote... so that's why my dick is small? fuck.

Krome 10-20-2002 01:04 PM

Fuck it I am in...ten years of smoking...tomorrow seems like good day....I have been thinking about it for a while now.

Actually, that's not true. Most people I know that take punk as far as they can, very seldom get laid. Could be due to the fact that they're ugly fuckers though.

So when do you guys start up your law suits against the tobacco companies for shrinking your dick and scaring away sex?

I'm quitting w/ my gfriend right now. Have only had 3 cigs today. Down from a pack a day. Let me know how it's going. It's kinda tough, but, I'll get over it.

Anyone here suggest smoking a "non-pot" pipe, as a supliment, to get over the initial cravings?

I'd try nicotine patches if I were you. Gonna get me enough to poison a small country tomorrow.

LOL... Yeah, I should try that. This no smoking thing is tough. I've been smoking for nearly 15 years, never tried to quit. YIKES! I'm going to start freaking out soon, I think. Maybe some Nicorette or something.

BV 10-20-2002 06:05 PM

i Have 12 smokes left in my pack now. This sounds like a good idea to quit but I know when I get down to the last one I will start to panic and go buy more...........

this sucks

:eek7 They can taste that??

Ehm, anyway, just got up, and for the first time in 5 years, didn't immediately light a cig. This stuff is pretty hard, but doable. Think I'll go buy some nicotine gum or patches now.

nicebutton lagwagon, i likes =)

Libertine 10-21-2002 06:59 AM

This is starting to suck pretty badly. I feel like I'm on drugs right now, all dizzy n stuff. Also, my mood is starting to get worse by the minute. I want to kick puppies and shoot children.

Ludedude 10-21-2002 08:46 AM

The mood swings are pretty bad :(

Hang in there...this is all happening to you because of some drug that's going to kill you! Go to this site www.mWilden.com/QuitTime/ and grab yourself one of the counters for motivation. Get gum, hard candies, twizzlers etc. Anything you can put in your mouth to take your mind off the fact that it's still not getting any nicotine. Celery sticks, carrot sticks are good too...and better for you than candy. I've got a whole damn list of shit I chew on now :)

Good luck!

Remember, the worst part is the first week....day 3 or 4 are killers but after that it's a piece of cake!

Ron2k1 10-21-2002 08:51 AM

I try to quit smoking almost weekly

wouncie 10-21-2002 10:15 AM

Im quiting today, I think I will have to quit drinking too. Because when that Hennessy hits the stomach I HAVE to blaze up!:feels-hot

NoCarrier 10-21-2002 10:22 AM

72 hours, that's all you need.

It takes about 72 hours for your body to get rid of nicotine.

I quit cold turkey. I don't believe in taking nicotine to get rid of nicotine. It's all about getting rid of that shit out of your body. Drink lots of water.

And go there :

Try to maintain your normal routine while quitting. If any event seems to tough, leave it and go back to it later. Do not feel you must give up any activity forever. Truly see yourself as "addicted to nicotine" because you are! Just one puff and you will either immediately or shortly thereafter experience full and complete relapse back to your prior level of nicotine use or higher. Don?t look at it as taking just "ONE" puff, look at it as taking them all back. Picture them all.

Don?t debate with yourself how much you want a "cigarette." You don?t crave a cigarette any more than the heroin addict craves a needle. Quitting smoking is one of the few propositions in the world where being 99% successful means 100% defeat. It?s an all or nothing proposition. If you decide you really want to smoke, please promise yourself that you?ll come to the board and give the group a chance to work its magic. If feels almost like a slap in the face when a member is bold enough to post after relapse but not courageous enough to post while in crisis. What good is support for a smoker? None!

Remember that there are only two good reasons to take a puff once you quit. You decide you want to go back to your old level of consumption until smoking cripples and then kills you, or, you decide you really enjoy withdrawal and you want to make it last forever. As long as neither of these options appeal to you - NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF!

I just stopped smoking two days ago
I am on my third day and I feel all fucked up inside!
But I will not take another cig, I'll go through the hell ride!
Because in the end I will be proud of me, my health will benefit from it and , I will have much more money to spend ! :)
