Supreme court strikes down gun ban.

Let the foreign hate begin.

Super hot button issue come politics time.

Why 06-27-2008 06:25 AM

well a-fuckin-men to that.

you can take my gun out of my cold dead hands ;)

CarlosTheGaucho 06-27-2008 07:22 AM

Yeah I read about that already, honestly I never even noticed it's been banned since 76.

I am always kind of frightened by the idea that a total moron with a lack of self esteem and serious issues, as there are millions likewise outside on the streets, can actually be picking at you in a bar and be armed.

Carrying a gun is very dangerous, you're much more likely to get involved in a conflict.

tranza 06-27-2008 10:18 AM

yeah men is difficult to believe!

This is what worries me.

Another mentally unstable jack ass went off the other day and killed his boss and four others - then himself - over something stupid about him violating a silly work rule. Then the week before Grandma was packing a firearm in Sams Club when her four year old grandchild got it and shot herself with it.

I don't feel the need the to protect myself when I'm walking down the street and I wonder why others do. Perhaps they should move to a safer place or something.

The lawsuit filed was for the right to have a handgun in your own home - Washington DC.

This is not about being able to carry a concealed weapon.

I don't feel the need to carry a gun when out on the streets but I would like to have the choice and freedom to protect myself in my own home and own a handgun if I choose to do so!!!!

The downward spiral of society. Uneducated and lazy masses

Although I'm not a pro-gun, in the present context, I think every citizen in the US should carry a gun, receive training and be ready to defend their rights in a not too distant future.

Good decision.

If you are really concerned about this, find the statistics of how many incidents like this have happened compaired to how many actually own or carry guns. It's just one of those topics that receive a lot of press, so when 1 incident happens it seems like it's happening all the time.

Propaganda in the media, just like porn, just like drugs, just like any other controversial subject. They always make it seem worse then it really is.

RayVega 06-27-2008 12:05 PM

Well, There's a few ways of looking at it. Most figure that if you keep the guns out of people's hands, criminals will not be able to commit crimes with guns. The problem with gun laws is that only criminals willing to break the law will have guns. You will never have a federal gun ban, so as long as criminals can get their hands on guns, you have to allow law abiding citizens to have them as well. Good decision.

Yes, occasionally some guy gets all pissed off and grabs his gun and does something he couldn't do if he didn't have one in the first place. But, look at it this way, how many people who are otherwise law abiding citizens get stressed out or depressed and get into a car after getting loaded and kill a whole family? Many more times than the gun scenario. With the drinking scenario we are talking how many per minute or hour instead of how many per year...:2 cents:

and if two out of the five people that were killed were armed, there would be less dead. :2 cents:

It is illegal to kill people, but that did not stop that man from doing so. So how is making guns illegal going to stop people from killing people?

Youre such a simpleton its almost funny. Youre the typical dumb gun loving American with his cliche defense always ready. Its sad. You dont even realize it because you live there and lack common sense and are surrounded by the same people. I wish for 1 min you live where/how i live and let you read your words. You would say the same thing: Who is that fucking dumbass.

Dirty F 06-27-2008 01:45 PM

You are all pro gun idiots with the defense that if guns are illegal only criminals would have guns. Criminals whoyou most likely will never run into in your whole life. But instead you applaud the fact that everyone can carry a gun. So now you live in a country where not just criminals have a gun. No, every other person you know or lives next to you has a gun. WELL THAT FOR SURE MAKES THINGS SAFER! Oh wait, no it doesnt :1orglaugh

Im very fucking happy to live in a country where only criminals have guns.

Anyway, you pro gun idiots are so indoctrinated with your "i have the right to carry a gun to defend my family" you wont even have a clue what i just said. Well, i dont care really. Drive careful today btw. Some roadrage might end in a shooting.

I still don't understand why every thread about guns in here goes to self defense or concealed carry. What's wrong with just owning guns to go target shooting or competing in matches? As a secondary function, they can be used to defend yourself, but there are a lot of people that just shoot for fun and aren't your "typical gun loving idiots" you so love to bash.

You left out hunting and carrying while in the wild (for defense) even if you are not hunting. I quit hunting some years ago but I still target shoot from time to time.

Super hot button issue come politics time.

This is not something that foreigners hate...

the right to bear arms is something that many of the people in power, some in the U.S. government, don't want us to have.

Why don't they want people to have guns? Because then it's more difficult to control the people.

Authorities said the slain woman was granted a restraining order against Duckett late last year.
So he was a criminal on the simple fact that he broke a restraining order. Now lets find out if A. he had the gun legally, and B. if he had a permit allowing him to carry a concealed weapon. Im pretty sure if he had a permit it would of been revoked due to having a restraining order on him. So you are pointing out the fact that a "criminal" shot someone.

Now if the woman would of had a weapon of her own and a permit to carry at least she would of had a chance to not be dead had she had a way to defend herself against deadly force.

Oh wait I forgot you are not from the U.S. so logic does not apply.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-27-2008 02:13 PM

Guns are a good thing. Infact I want to see more people killing each other.
Infact I think the lethal self defense laws are to harsh, lets face it there are alot of people that need killing, taking guns away won't help.

I want all capital murderer's to be set free and allow people to hunt them down as a game show and kill them on prime time between tampon commercials.

So Dirty F, you are all about having the police and military in the streets with guns. And no civilians able to have guns?

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-27-2008 02:17 PM

I think that if everyone had a gun on them the dumb ones that pull them out will die off and we can get back to the common sense abilities of intelligence and understanding the true nature of responsibility.

The more people that have guns the less domestic crime there would be, and less violence over the course of several years.

They should permit Gun slinger laws where Duel's are allowed and encouraged. The world is far to over populated to hold back on the concept of murder while domestic murder, revenge killing, self defense and protecting of property with lethal force should be encouraged and rewarded.

Fact is far to many fucking morons are permitted to have hand guns. They all need to die systematically by either killing each, killing innocent pussies not willing to defend themselves while other hunt them down and kill them for the bounties.

Police should be permitted to pull a fire arm when ever they feel they need to and should be permitted to kill on site guilty parties breaking the law using violent means:)

The military already is running drills in our streets and policing civilians (which is illegal).

I am asking you if you are for gun control (a.k.a. civilians having guns)? - try to actually read what i wrote instead of complicating things for yourself ;)

If you would read then you wouldn't have problems understanding.

AND if you are for gun-control, then you are totally OK with POLICE and MILITARY having guns, but NOT civilians?

It's not really the legal ones I'm worried about........

It's interesting to talk to men, especially in the south, in their 60's and 70's who grew up with guns so much that they'd carry them in their cars/trucks/bikes to school so they could go target practice/hunting after school. But even though most of the boys had a gun AT SCHOOL, there didn't seem to be any school shootings back then.

It's the mentality of society that's causing the problems, not legal gun ownership.
