That some people could get evil and get file name extensions as a tld. Doubt it would be a problem at first until say .exe really caught hold and people were ok clicking it.

There will definately be problems - how will future noobs know that "installme.exe" is a file / program and not a domain?

Wow. Never even thought of that. That would be a serious problem. I know I wouldn't ever buy or click on a .exe domain.

Thought so and I figure there could be a few that could be bad, hell even .zip scares me.

I bet a bunch of script kiddies are salavating over this already.

I think all this is going to do is open the doors to more and more online fraud. think of how many people will buy domains like .html and use them for paypal.com.myaccount.html or whatever. i remember getting a ton of fake emails from .info domains
