As much as i hate the motherfucker it's not his fault entirely.
You have all those people on the road driving SUVs sucking up gasoline like no tomorrow.
You have the speed limit at some locations at 75 MPH where it was 55 about 20 years ago so people are driving their smaller cars as well as all those big SUV faster sucking up even more gas at higher speeds.
You have developing countries generating more demand and buying more oil these days raising demand.
You have speculators raising the price on the new york MERC in the hope of making profits and customers are paying for it so yes it is Bush's fault to some extent for not having a good energy policy and not forcing auto makers to raise gas mileage andnot really trying to get oil producing countries to produce more oil it's not all his fault.
