i have a VIEWSONIC one, not to sure the model #, it had like an ipod hookup and such also.
was around $3k+ if i remember.

i have an HD screen was around $350-$400?

fucking amazing, nothing like a projector, you bring a girl down to your basement and they see this thing and they want to come over for "cuddle" night every dam weekend.

here is what I have and it is only 720p but looks amazing with blue ray dvds

Mitsubishi - DLP Home Theater Projector

the 1080's will run you around $3k though new.

and the screen I bought was this AccuScreen 106" Diagonal HDTV 16:9 Fixed Projection Screen - Black Velvet Frame

I had a non HD one for 3 years and bought this a year ago and it is nice!

If I were you I'd be careful buying a used one or atleast know how much a new lamp is for it before you buy cause hour meters on those things are easily reset

It appears that the projector you're looking at has a native resolution of 4:3 and no HDMI input, both of which will be an issue if you want to run HD. It also is a 5 year old model no longer in production. A projector ages very much like a computer - not well. :winkwink:

Component input and a 16 x 9 'stretch' would work, but is not optimum.

I'd go plasma or invest more $$$ in a front projector / screen combo.

By the way, I'm using a Sony VPL-VW60 (1080p) with a 110" Carada screen and masking system...the bluray disks look incredible!
