What is your method for getting a song out of your head?
 

For the past two days I have had 'Total Eclipse Of My Heart' - a song that I don't even like - totally stuck in my head. I catch myself humming and whistling it and it is driving me nuts.

What is your method for getting a song unstuck and do you have one stuck in your head now?

Replace it with something equally as cheesy. Either that or a good burst of pain should do the trick. Perhaps you need to listen to banana phone.

I used to do the 'hey mickey' trick and suffer through that but it isn't working.

I usually play loud music , in a language which i can't speak , so like this will not get stuck in my head . Give a try with Rammstein - Benzin , good luck ;)

Rammstein 's 'Sonne' is one of the worst songs for getting stuck in my head too..just stays there for days. Though, It would be a lot better than Bonnie Tyler.

I smoke a reefer. that seems to help with the short term memory stuff

I once had Billy Joel's "In the Middle of the Night" god awful trainwreck of a song stuck in my head for literally 5 days straight. I seriously considered jumping in front of a bus.

I have been there! I had that one stuck last year some time and it drove me nuts because it was pretty much just one line of the song too..just over and over.

as weird as it sounds, I go listen to the song all the way through a couple of times. Usually does the trick.

I could actually see where that might work..I will have to try it because it is still there.
