matyko from hun forum
this dude named matyko is trying to turn the hun forum into paid partner account, some of us enjoy submitting our galleries for the traffic that thehun offers, true there are cry babies on there crying about every declined gallery, that's no reason to ruin it for everyone, just a note, "matyko" posted in review what day it is thread, thought i come here to let everyone know, thanks!

I guess they see a decrease in traffic and sales...
|
I don't think it's a bad idea actually, considering the amount of submits he has to sort through which causes a large backlog for himself and submitters. I'd gladly pay a fee for POSSIBLE listings if it could expedite the listing times.

sherm, some of us enjoy the free traffic, so that would devastate us
|
I would welcome paid partner accounts on the Hun when I will be able to submit there more galleries.
|
The Hun could have done it years before... he is different.
|
I wouldn't mind paying 50 bucks a month or so for a partner account that has no guarnatee listing if it cut's down the review time to less than a week.
|
come on guys it's free traffic, let some of the smaller guys have their few galleries listed every month, if you got so much dough go to cybercat and pay for a spot, the 20th position is like $100
|
not likes its going to happen, its not as if matyko is part of thehun staff

so true man |
His traffic is not worth 50$ a month. Even if you got 1 gallery a day posted.

he submits to some of mine, maybe i should charge him a small fee lol
|
I would pay a submission fee gladly if it reduced the backlog and increased the chances of getting listed.

Cheers!
This is Matyko. I was just told about this thread, I spent my day on a playground, my daughter turned to 18...months old.. :) I will give you a detailed answer, but after reading the first 5 posts I am sad because nobody read the thread on The Hun. I was talking about a fee for decline mails with reasons, to avoid "whats with my gallery" posts. I don't want Hun to be paid. I want less unnecessary posts there :) Peace, be back soon with a longer comment on this |
There are people who still visits hun?I though everyvone are now on tube sites.

My whole comment in The Hun's "famous thread" was this:
"Review, I have a good idea: setup decline mail templates with ~dozen reasons, and send them if a gallery is not accepted, BUT as for an extra feature submitters should pay some low fee for this, like 1 buck / gallery. This could result in: - less babycry posts about "what is with my gallery?" - (a little) extra income for your work Wink - better submissions with time (for sure) Just an idea, not detailed but can make everybody happy. For submitters: a usual The Hun submitter is sending 7-10 galleries a month. I think I would happily pay 7-10 bucks for a service like this... Could be a prepaid system, 25-50-100 USD via epass/paypal/etc. Service could be promoted on submit page." Probably its clear to everybody that this is about the possibility of an extra service, not as a must to all submitters. :pimp So WebmasterMann, what made you think I want The Hun to go to paid submission only? |

The reviewers are pretty nice guys just like the Hun and won't send those declined bs.

If you cant get 10 sales from the Hun per listing you dont know how to market galleries

Bottom line is that if you are getting listed, than you know the kind of sales that the Hun can send. A small fee to certify that a submitter is indeed legit, wouldn't be the end of the world. It would actually probably help you more than you know. Regardless, I can't see the Hun ever going this route, so this is all just in theory. :thumbsup |
thanks for all the comments, and some of us are still new at the submitting biz and enjoy sending our galleries to just a few of the top tgps without having to pay any kind of fee. i think the hun purposely leaves out partner accounts, because the surfer enjoys the variety that comes with being able to see a variety of galleries. partner accounts only have a certain amount people that are qualified to submit, therefore you see the same galleries/sponsors every day. thehun unlike other tgps there are 1,000 webmasters whose some make it more than others and some don't make it at all. thanks for the hun for keeping your submissions free.
others that want to change to partner system should check out pinkworld, see how his traffic converts, he charges $59 and i have only made 1 sale not barely covering the partner pass. |

you either dont have bussines sense or its bullshit.... I am actually long time paid advertiser on thehun and I can confirm its doable, but I think you should bought paid spots in that case. |
WebmasterMann, probably you want to reply something on my comments here, 'cos you opened a thread with my name in it with misleading information which can be originated from simple malignancy or perhaps you have problems with understanding what you read. So?

And I still think it would be nice to get proper decline mails. And based on that board's news they will do so, but of course for free. :pimp teomaxxx, I am interested in advertising on Hun, but I got zero response from CyberCat since feb 2008, if you have a working ICQ/email contact please let me know. |
