National Net Down? (Twistys Hustler)

National Net in Atlanta GA seems to be down.
They host Twistys and Hustler which I cannot access.
I am on the east coast of North America
This has happened a couple of times now in the last few weeks
The outage is not long but total.
Any one else having this problem at the moment?
National, Twistys and Hustler are all dark at my end.....

Karupted Charles 06-24-2008 12:51 PM

All our sites at nat net appear to be up.

Pete-KT 06-24-2008 12:52 PM

everything seems to be up here, I think your mom activated the adult filter on your computer

Mullett 06-24-2008 12:54 PM

Works fine in Bodymore, Murderland.

teentime 06-24-2008 12:58 PM

I am still down since posting
No Nat Net no Twistys no Hustler
Must be a routing issue with my utterly useless, well known, national brand ISP
Thanks for helping my narrow it down

teentime 06-24-2008 01:03 PM

When I do a trace route to see where it is failing I get this:

C:\>tracert twistys.com
Unable to resolve target system name twistys.com

Every other site in the book except Twistys and Hustler resolves just fine...
More weird crap.

You don't join paysites? Thats like a BMW company owner not driving a BMW.

Seems more to be a DNS issue you're having than the host if you can't resolve the domain.

teentime 06-24-2008 01:18 PM

OK it's back just now.

I ran this command to force my DNS challenged ISP to update.

In nslookup
ls -d nationalnet.com

Five minutes later it's back :)
F**king useless ISP

Thanks for all help

Tom_PM 06-24-2008 01:37 PM

What ISP was it BTW?

Phil21 06-24-2008 02:46 PM

Looks like a fun DNS issue, some (major) ISP's are well-known to be completely incompetent at maintaining resolvers.

Try utilizing OpenDNS (www.opendns.com) - these are some decent guys, who actually have a clue. They operate public DNS servers for your use. I believe the default action is to send you to ad pages for non-existent domains, but it's easily turned off if it bothers you.
