how to transfer a domain name without being ripped off?
 

i own a nice little niche blog with good traffic and lots of bookmark (mainstream) and i have a killer domain so yesterday a guy just offer me a good price for the domain, so i'd like to know the best way to transfer a domain name and be sure to get the money, so i need a way to insure him he will get the domain as soon as i get the money..

any hints?

If they domain price is lower than $500 - ask him to send you the money and you make the transfer for the domain.
Otherwise - look up at what the other peeps are saying - they are right.

If its less the 1k I would say tell him you want the money up front. If it's more then that use escrow.com

moniker has an escrow service as well.
