Oops - video help please

My daughter got married the other day. goodgirl took a few videos of it.

We watched some today to discover that she had held the camera sideways on a few of the clips.

She was going to try and rotate them with Windows Movie Maker which would have been cool, except for one thing. . . . Camera outputs in Quick Time format.

Any suggestions, or anyone that can rotate a few clips?

Quicktime Pro is a great program. *wink wink * nudge nudge*

it is also very inexpensive.

I hate QT, so never investigated it. Does the pro version allow you to rotate videos?

did you cry, ole man? :winkwink:

Pro lets you do all kinds of video editing.

This is for OSX but its a good example on how to fix your problem with QTpro

vegas video does it no problem... however holding the camera 'sideways' changes the aspect ratio.

when you rotate you're going to crop off parts of the image or put black borders on the edges and resize the footage.

LMK if I can do anything to help

I went ahead and bought QT pro, will see what happens.

A little late to do anything about which way she held the camera though.

Thanks, it was rather painless after I figured out the first one.

Took me a couple minutes to figure out how to rotate the first one. After that, piece of cake.

Someday I may even open it again and see what else I can do with it.

Thanks for the easy fix. I have automatically closed that popup window that offers the upgrade for so many years, I did not even think of it. In fact, I had declined the upgrade offer a couple minutes before you suggested getting it. :1orglaugh

Hey Lloyd, one more thing, I just wanted to congratulate you on what must have been one of the most special days of your life, and wish your daughter all the best.

So what song did you finally decide to dance with her to?

Props to the proud Papa... :thumbsup
