I have seen a lot of .TV domains ranking well in the serps lately. I imagine due to the price of the TLD google might see it as less likely to be spammy, in relation to say .info domains. Who knows whether or not that is a factor, but you would be alright to use the extension for SEO purposes. Of course, there are many factors in whether or not it will actually rank once developed.

I bought a .tv domain today. it hasn't transferred yet or I'd tell you, but I liked it enough to buy it.

Don't use the TV series name in your domain. Nothing but trouble. Trademark issues
