Once someone comes out with one that goes a little faster and is built safer AND with a battery plant that doesn't take too long to charge, then they'll not only be allowed here but will sell like hotcakes I'm sure.

I kind of agree, safety should be the first concern over emissions, if these are lightweight materials being used and you get into an impact, your chances of survival are slim.

I caught a news clip the other night about a British Columbia manufacture that's been trying for 5 years to get their vehicles approved for use in Canada. Yet a competitor can import American made vehicles.

Actually, Quebec is going to allow them within the next few months. The problem is, they won't be able to drive on highways because that's the juristiction of Transport Canada.
