Gmail users, few new addable features I like.

I only really care about first and third as the second was pretty common.

Check them out, specially if your an organizational freak like me.

whatever...they still don't have folders

Just set up tags. It's just as good as folders.

do you mean Labels?

I want physical folders, like outlook, that I can drag mail items into and never see them in the main inbox again....

Same thing, folder = label

yeah you setup a label and then archive it, it won't ever be in the inbox again, or setup filters to do that automagically for you.

Jace, what you do is associate a 'label' to the email and click on "archive"......it'll move the email out of the inbox and into that label/folder.

The beauty of labels is that if you associate an email with more then one label and you 'archive' it, that email gets placed into all the labels folders that it was associated with. So you can have that email archived into multiple places.

After Shock Media 06-20-2008 12:18 AM

You can set your incoming options to sort and go to any label (folder) you wish. You can have it marked as read even if it has not been. You can have it assigned and added to multiple labels (folders). You can have it assigned a label and archive and it will not show in inbox ever. You have additional changes beyond that. You can also send and receive email from other addresses.

The only thing I ever get into my inbox is the very few spams that do slip through. Random emails from new people that do not match one of my labels or filters, and email from one special email address that is used only for certain circumstances by certain people. In essence my inbox typically has about 3-4 emails in it a day max. Although I get anywhere from 100 to 300 a day not including spam, opted in newsletters, and our local freecycle program.

That's something I always wanted them to put on!

Having problems on sorting the mails. Though labels may work but it doesn't really help me most of the time. :disgust
