You know baseball is more compliated than that. What's the score, Angels ahead or behind? What inning? How many outs. Who's on base?

Angels behind in the score, man on second, 1st base open, walk him, set up for a double play or force out.

Angels ahead by 2 or more, nobody on base, let him swing away.

And naturally there are many other possible scenarios.

The Giants have other guys who can homer, too. Why risk letting this guy do damage? It isn't spring training, it's the World Series. I'd never give Bonds a pitch even close to the strike zone. I'd drill him in the thigh or ass, so he get s acharley horse and can run. I don't want the walks to hurt me, so if he's gimpy, I got a chance to throw him out - at least he'll only be able to limp to the next base.
