How long does it take to commute to your office?
One way?
Used to take me over an hour on the London 'tube', but now zero since I work from home. How long does it take you to get to work? |
30-60 seconds, depending on how long it takes me to crawl out of bed and walk into my office.
mmm .. about 18 steps.... or 6m
I'm about a block and 1/2 away from the office. 45 seconds if I hit the light

Thirty seconds.
Everyone is bitching about gas but frankly I haven't noticed. If I fill up my wife's truck once a month that's a lot for us. |
Some 20-25 seconds, depends on the traffic.
I have to commute from Burbank to Downtown LA. Good thing my schedule is whatever I want it to be so I leave late and stay late.

40 mins. Thats coz I'm a lazy bitch and it takes me 40 mins of snoozes to get my ass outta bed to get to my office in my house. If I got up right away it would take me 20 seconds tho....
About an hour but its all back roads so I very rarely hit traffice
Used to work from home, but now go to the office. Looks like the majority work from home, so big oil energy savings here - maybe more energy use in homes as a result, but can't compare...
If I hit the lights just right it takes 12 min.
Not long. But we did have a Jam in the kitchen today, and that took some time to get though.
10 minutes walking, but I also have to go all the way to the neighbour city :1orglaugh
My commute is 10 paces to the west.
I get at the office anywhere between 7am and 8ham... early bird, I hate getting up late in the morning :)

4 minutes.I hate dealing with traffic
40 minutes depend of the traffic, sometimes to go back i take 1:30 and i live near!
If I bolt out of bed, run down the hall, jump down the stairs and dive thru the office doors while avoiding traffic (my cats), my quickest commute is just under 6 seconds. On the slow days where my son stops me to play Candyland or with legos, my commute can sometimes take up to 20 minutes.
1 hour, most of the time 1 1/2 because of traffic that's why i need to left home early
30 secs, from my bed to my office lol
18 steps up the staircase to my office
67 steps from my front door. I just counted.
From bedroom on second floor to Office in the basement ; About 2 minutes depends on the time it takes to get myself a coffee :)
Typically less than two minutes.
First thing in the morning about 5 minutes :) |
About 15 steps. If I buy the tanning salon it's exactly 7 miles from my door to it but I won't be going in every day.
I spend MUCH more time going out, going to doctor, dentist, vets, shopping, school, various lessons, getting to the freaking airport, etc. than I EVER have getting to work and back in the 15 years I've worked at home. |
I timed it this morning.
8.3 seconds. Would have been quicker but I hit traffic. Damn commuters. |

I live and walk to the office in Downtown Mexico City..while laughing at the car jams..
about 10 minutes for me..
like 7 minutes one way
20 minutes of driving!
Like 20 seconds or so
about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic
The animal traffic can be hazardous I have had a few crashes over the dog the difficult part is getting the 100 dog off the bed so I can actually get up he sleeps like a log. feed cats feed dogs feed fish make coffee about ten minutes

I voted for 1 minute cause I still have to walk over to the microwave to make a coffee, take a piss, and then take the coffee over to the laptop and desk. So about a minute or 2...

two minutes..five if I stop to feed the dogs first
Oh and yes when I used to work out of the house it easily took me an hour and half from door to door using London trains and Underground. The worst one was when I first moved here and had a 2 hour commute each way using two buses and three trains but when you are new in the country and you need a job you take when you can. I ended up doing that for nearly two years and I had mono by the end (and for my wedding..yay). I think the prime reason I work from home now and will fight to the end to do so is because of that commute.

I've tried to have a strict 8AM time but they start at 7 and I swear if my right toe wiggles, they all run into the kitchen and start barking. They settle down after 5 minutes, I move my arm and back they run to the kitchen. Lather, rinse, repeat. Depending on my mood, there have been times they've eaten at 7 and times I've put them outside, went back to sleep and they've eaten at 10 :winkwink: |
1 normal sized step, so I'm gonna say less than a second to get to work!

i live right down the street so 10 min walking and about 5 min driving at the most
7 to 10 mins

I often lay in bed with my laptop before I fall asleep and grab it before I get out of bed in the morning. |
I'm right around the corner... About 5 min away. I feel bad for the commuters, what with gas prices being what they are.
