Al Gores house in upcoming season of Weeds

.. as the 'grow house'

How else would you explain the hugh amounts of electricity he uses?

----------------------------------

In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

Since taking steps to make his home more environmentally-friendly last June, Gore devours an average of 17,768 kWh per month –1,638 kWh more energy per month than before the renovations – at a cost of $16,533. By comparison, the average American household consumes 11,040 kWh in an entire year, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Ooopsie.

I also heard this.. How funny is that?

IllTestYourGirls 06-18-2008 04:04 PM

he could be 100% energy independent, but he is not, makes you wonder.

Zuzana Designs 06-18-2008 04:05 PM

LOLZ I Love that show :)

GrouchyAdmin 06-18-2008 04:06 PM

Nope. His plane runs on pure smugness; it's amazing, he's even outdone Ed Beagle.

Why are they comparing how much he uses in a year to how many homes it would power in a month? That's retarded and someone is obviously trying to make things bigger than they are to people who don't know how to read.

If they can't read how would they know the article is misleading? :upsidedow

IllTestYourGirls 06-18-2008 06:21 PM

it may be misleading but 200,000k vs 2,000k is still 100 times more. When the man is rich enough to be 100% ENERGY INDEPENDENT the man is a fraud period.

stickyfingerz 06-18-2008 06:24 PM

He is not liked much here in TN Ill tell you that. :2 cents:

IllTestYourGirls 06-18-2008 06:27 PM

where are all the global warming freaks coming to Als defense? I love gfy, the Rs stay out of the threads that prove an R is fake and the Ds stay out of thread that proves a D is a fraud.

They are all frauds, time to start voting and thinking differently. :2 cents:

Im all for and believe in global climate change. Do not need to defend what his house uses. I am sure it could be better but so can everyone else's. Does that instantly disprove that climate change is happening, no. So he is a nut, never doubted that in the least. Hell some of the scenes in his movie were special effect rips, again so fucking what. People always have extremes and idiots at the helm gaining all of the public attention. Does not effect the real message behind it though.

Or shall I also think that Sharpton speaks for all black people, Falwell speaks for all Christians, and Max speaks for all pornographers?

If he really believed in man made global warming, or change he would do something about his own house. Just like I think sharpton and falwell are fakes because they too are speaking of things that are not real so they do not practice what they preach.

Does it alter the real issue? Um no.

I do not pull my information from politicians, I typically default to high end specialists and known scientists with no real money in the game.

high end specialists do have a lot of money in the game. but that aside, we should all be doing what we can. To bad most people need to be scared into doing something that makes sense, and apparently gore is not scared and does not have the sense to do what is right.

Misunderstanding what I meant with specialists. I am just talking about those that specialize in scientific aspects such as ice cores, and solar system fluctuations etc.

farkedup 06-18-2008 06:51 PM

wait a second, wouldn't you have to take Al Gore seriously in the first place to even care about this?

Never had any respect for Al Gore in the first place but I'll admit he'd have been better than Bush.
