script that allows webcam image upload
 

I'm looking for a script that would allow a user to see a video off of their local webcam and then click something that would trigger a still to be taken and uploaded to the server.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm guessing you want to do simple captures for models 2257 like rude does, all the things I've seen are just made for them, never seen a script around, I would think it would pretty easy to just hire someone to write it for you.

I think you are better off doing it in 2 steps. Let them download an exe to take the snapshot then have them upload the snapshot sep. because anything someone has made already will need to "mesh" with however you are databasing them. Like how does your website know who's picture is who's

it actually has nothing to do with models - it's for a small home project. I say upload to a server, but really the server will be a local machine. I just want the UI to be through a web browser.

I think http://www.webcamxp.com should do the trick.


If not, hire a flash developer to build you a simple app to do it tailor made to your needs ;)
