Ugh, I've been without power since fucking Sunday
 

In Michigan for a few weeks and we got hit by some crazy storms, knocked the power out Sunday evening and it just came back on earlier today. What a fucking hassle it is to not have power, especially with no air conditioning when its in the 90s and humid.

So glad its back on and I have AIR CONDITIONING again.

That sucks, I'm waiting on some design changes from a designer and he has been without power for a few days now...

I live on a small island and we get more than our fair share of outages here.

oh man i went through that 4 years ago for 2 days in a heatwave - fucking brutal.

internet withdrawal just by itself is pretty bad.

it blows, killer storm rolled through here the other day & power was out for awhile :disgust

On Friday morning at 3am, the lightning was going off like bombs here.. one struck a tree about 50 yards from me and set it on fire. It was a serious light show, and I'm told it made national news (at least an AP story anyway).

Didn't lose power for more than 5 minutes, but I lost 2 tv's, a very expensive desk phone, my router, and my cable modem. All dead from the massive surges. :(

I just got a replacement modem today. Mother Nature: :321GFY

No I'm actually near Syracuse, NY myself. Stupid crazy storms, set 3 fires and blew some roofs off. Was like a giant strobe light outside that night.

I could actually hear that cartoonish frying sound, zzzzzappppp. Then just rescue vehicle sirens. Hell of a show.

Ah, yeah it was pretty nutty here too. Fucking wind was like 90 MPH, blew over tons of trees and wrecked all kinds of shit. :Oh crap

Ouch, Probably not much chance of it happening twice but you should have someone come out and install a surge protector on your breaker box; protects the whole house. Maybe buy a lotto ticket well you're at it.
