Kind of a strange question
 

What is your favorite board game (if any). We have friends come over we play board games from time to time. We have been buying many, especially with a baby on the way since we are going to be spending a lot of time at home.

What do you play, recommend?

Taboo is a dam good game.

Never actually played it, but people say it's a game for old people :-\

Tabboo is good as is pictionary but Scrabble is my personal Fav :)

Cranium has been fun so far. Don't get me wrong, I have around 40 board games, I'm just hoping someone will come up with one I haven't played. I haven't played Taboo. Electronic Monopoly is awesome (goes by faster), and I just bought 'Settlers Of Catan' off Amazon, which is supposed to be a fantastic game, a pain to learn.

Scrabble is a great standby. All of the trivia based games go out of date so fast. Kids love snakes/chutes and ladders!

I started playing Boggle the other night. It really works your brain, was rather shocked at how after 3~ nights of playing it, I was able to pickup and recognize words and patterns much faster.

Whats that game called in english where you make words out of bricks with letters on them?

Trivial Pursuit.

Taboo is favorite. Scattergories and Pictionary are pretty fun.

Diplomacy, Glory, Advanced squad leader, Axis & Allies, Panzer Blitz, Warhammer fantasy battles, warhammer 40k, Wooden ships and iron men, Blue max, Little wars.

Finding a theme here? BTW Risk is just to basic and boring.

Is that game still around? Wasnt that with the toy castle parts and the weapons? I think I recall owning that when I was like um 11 or 12 years old.
