Google penalization for pages being removed too quickly?
Is anyone aware of if you have for example a network of sites with 6,000+ pages indexed, but you need to take them all down - if google will penalize you for taking them down too quickly if you just 410 every sub-domain on the network?

are you asking if the main domain will suffer some sort of algorithm penalty due to subdomains being removed?

jet,
More or less, yep. Just dropping all of the current sub-domains on the main domain, and adding entirely new ones to it. The hangup is, it's a mainstream network right now which will be turning into an adult network. So of course the obvious issue is you don't want to send the mainstream folks to adult material. So in effort to prevent that, I'm 410'ing everything on each sub-domain (over 100 of them) a few at a time. To speed things up though, I'd rather just 410 everything all together and let google deindex 'em. Just not sure if there'd be any negative impact on taking care of it in that manner. |
great info thaks for sharing !!! :):):)
