Mainstream Credit Card Processing in Canada

Hey,

Wondering if anyone knows of a CC processor for mainstream.

I have a client that has a little online shop and needs to accept credit cards where the user actually inputs their CC info and not have to create account or anything. I know paypal does this but only for US accounts. This is a Canada based company.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Was just about suggest Moneris... good place to have a look first. As for Canadian processors I would avoid InternetSecure, have heard a few complaints about them. Also highly personally recommended is Optimal Payments, also Canadian.

Moneris is a hell of a nightmare to get approved and setup. I did it for a client , and tough the server passed their Netgard ( or something similar ) independent security, it still took near 3 months to activate ( it was a hardware store , hammers, saws, etc ...).

They ended up reimbursing the very expensive setup fee.

Moneris is for BIG volume. Then you save on the processing, which helps compensate the high setup fees.

it is Trustkeeper ( https://www.trustkeeper.net/esp/Logi...=1213116522602 )

My client was ready to give up .....

And Julie St-Amour ( a rep of Moneris that said to me that she didn't need to know the product to sell it ... ) was always trying to push that the transaction ( capture of card info ) be made on their site with data stored there. At that point, might as well use Paypal.

Thanks for the input...

The client is a plumbing supply distributor with only a few specialty products. I need this to be simple. Volume is low less then 10 transactions a day...

Will review all sites..

for small volume, it is pretty good : low monthly fees , but higher transaction fee ( not important on low volume ).

Has a virtual terminal included, so credit card could be processed at his store or wharehouse also.

I did a lot of cart integration, and in Canada they were the best. I do agree to stay away from Internetsecure and PaySystems ( if they still exist ... ).

I just got approved by Moneris to process USD for adult. It was expensive, and a bitch. But it's also the only Canadian solution for adult if you want your own merchant account in Canada. For mainstream, I'm sure it's much easier.

I don?t think this will help with the Canadian Plumbing Supplies, but FYI for the future, CCBill has a mainstream processing sister company called EC Suite.

EC Suite isn't the same company as CCBill, but it's a similar e-commerce engine, with all the CCBill expertise backing it.

Non-Adult only, no tangibles, with some additional features, and lower non-high-risk rates.

EC Suite processes Visa for U.S. entities only, but most any company in most any country can process AMEX, MasterCard, Discover, and JCB with EC Suite.
