Fall Classic or Fall Asleep If I Had To Watch It?

I haven't been much of a fan since the 94 (?) strike that fucked up the whole season. At that point, they showed me what they really care about. Now baseball is kinda like the web- way too fucking commercial. And the worse part about it is with declining fanbases, they can't afford to be. Now it's like lots of noise and little signal.

I am not going to watch baseball again until the redsox make it to the series. :BangBang:

i used to love baseball when i was a kid. Dunno when they lost me exactly. A lot of my disinterest in it does have to do with
the attitudes of the players, i have a friend who's a stringer for Reuters, covers the major leagues. he says of any sport he's covered and he's done them all, none come close to the baseball players for being total assholes.

last year's World Series was great. When there's everything on the line baseball is a compelling game. But I think for the young kids being brought up on video games it's just much too slow a sport. Baseball doesn't have many kids watching it anymore. I don't even see kids playing baseball in the summer. I see mostly
basketball and sk8ter boys.

Angels deserve what Gene Autry (former owner) was never able to deliver. Barry Bonds has won everything in baseball he does not require a world series ring.

I just don't care. I rarely sit through a full game, football is more my interest. But for all the fans of my prophetic sports wisdom, I will say this.... San Fran will win. I won't say in how many games, and it's not because you or anyone else is a cock smoker (no doubt somebody here is though), it is simply because that little inner voice inside me tells me so.

Baseball is a dying sport. I loved baseball when I was a kid. '94 killed it for me.

Actually, I don't watch anything anymore. Some hockey, but that's it. Free agency is ruining all the major sports.

Sucks, too, because I used to be a HUGE sports fan. Followed all of them.

i started losing my interest in hockey about 10 years ago.
and it's not coincidental that hockey and baseball are both basically run by their respective players associations. Don Fehr and Goodenow who runs the NHLPA are very tight.

i've watched a couple NHL games and I gotta say the new mandate the league put on the referees to start calling all the obstruction stuff like hooking and holding seems to be working pretty good, game looks more exciting than it has in awhile.

NFL is great. NBA is good entertainment as well and NCAA hoops is great.
