not for $500 with the market being flooded with them in the very near future... get what you can as quickly as possible, the old models will be available cheap about a week after the new one hits.

Is Monday the release date for the 2nd gen iphone? (something I've been waiting for since the iphone first game out)...

If so, Monday is when I leave T-Mobile for AT&T!

June 9th is what I read in several places which is Monday...

I'd be willing to buy a first gen if the price were right BUT its stupid to pay over $300 for a phone that doesn't have 3G and GPS support (which an insane amount of people did) WAY too many phones have had both of these since before the iphone was released. My wifes Mogul with 3G is insanely fast (600K most of the time using speedtests NOT near a big city)

Same here. WDC is tomorrow, announcement of 3G iPhones and such :)

seems like yesterday when first version of the iphone came out..

The Financial Times in the UK reports the new iphone is likely to be 200 USD on a contract.

wasn't really short term .. Motorola pumps out tons of new designs every month ..

I can't wait for it :) It'll be in my hands soon, and this one will be retired ;)

sold it for 540 on ebay, waiting for payment since my paypal got jacked with a prior transaction... new one will be 199/299 but not around till mid/late june... i'll take the 540

I bet you a fiver the new one will be available in store within 48 hours of the keynote, if not immediately after.
