CCBill swallows fees - for US based merchants

Important Information Regarding Your IPSP Registration and CCBill?s $750 Registration Fee CREDIT* Program!

October 17, 2002

Dear Webmaster-

As the processor for your website?s online transactions, and in a continued effort to offer you support and assistance during this volatile time, we are extremely pleased to announce that if you are a US-Based Client, you can now complete the VISA IPSP Sponsored Merchant Registration process and make arrangements for payment of your initial registration fee on the Webmaster Admin at [url is in CCBill admin area] By late this evening, or early tomorrow morning, simply log into your account and look for the pop up message to begin the process.

To help assist you with your business decisions at this time, it is also important for you to know that CCBill.com has decided to offer our US-Based business clients, who wish to continue to process VISA transactions with CCBill as their IPSP, a $750 credit* on the processing fee % associated with all their new sales after November 15, 2002, to help offset the unexpected expense of their Sponsored Merchant Registration fee.

The way the CCBill IPSP Registration Credit program will work is fairly simple. To qualify you must first meet the following criteria:

You are a US Based Business, who registers with CCBill as a VISA Sponsored Merchant; and
You pay your $750 initial VISA Sponsored Merchant Registration fee through CCBill.com prior to November 15, 2002. We have arranged for a variety of suitable payment options, which should work for large and small clients alike.
Starting two (2) calendar weeks after November 15, 2002, or after the beginning of processing of your Visa transactions, which ever occurs last, CCBill will begin to credit you on your weekly CCBill check, for the percentage amount of your CCBill processing fees for your previous week?s new sales transactions, for a period of time until you have been credited the full amount of $750, for a maximum of 39 weeks.

In addition, if you are a US-Based Client, you will be offered the option to either continue processing VISA transactions with CCBill after November 15, 2002 by registering and making payment arrangements; or discontinue your VISA processing effective November 14, 2002. Please note that if we do not receive an online registration or acknowledgement to discontinue VISA processing from you by November 1, 2002, we will assume that you do not wish to continue your VISA processing with CCBill.com.

We are working diligently on a solution for our Non US-Based CCBill clients with businesses located in either the European Union or Asia Pacific regions (click here to view a list of countries in these regions). It is our intent to be able to offer VISA Sponsored Merchant Registration for these clients by October 28, 2002. To help us prepare for this process, all Non US-Based clients, upon their next log-in to the Webmaster Admin, will be presented with a copy of the account information we currently have on file. If you fall into this category, please take a moment and inform us of any changes that may be required to bring your account information up to date.

For our Canadian based clients, we are continuing to search for a viable solution for your VISA processing, and we are hopeful to have news on a secure option for you in the very near future.

We know that this is a small attempt to assist a portion of our clients with their efforts to maintain the health and prosperity of their businesses, and that there still remains many issues and concerns to be addressed and resolved. As we continue to search and secure options, we urge you to check ipsp-faq , the CCBill.com FAQ resource for VISA IPSP information on a regular basis for current information on this important topic. Please know that our plan is to contact you immediately when we have the answers you and we need to comply with Visa?s requirements.

Everyone at CCBill.com would like to thank you for your continued patience with both us and the current VISA situation. Please know that your account representative is available to discuss your plans for your account and address your questions at any time, and can be reached at 800.510.2859, or at [email removed for bots, etc].

Best regards,

Ron Cadwell
CEO
CCBill.com

* The credit applies to new transactions only, not rebills.

* The credit will be calculated on new transactions that occur beginning two (2) calendar weeks after November 15, 2002, or the beginning of processing Visa transactions which ever occurs last, and will be included in the weekly settlement 2 weeks later.

* The credit will be equal to CCBill?s processing fee % as specified in our contract with you.

* CCBill will pay the credit for a maximum of 39 weeks or until the registration fee has been completely rebated, which ever occurs first.

* If your registration is not accepted, CCBill will refund your application fee.

US gov (in cooperation with VISA/MC) push porn to offshore. It's just a game; likes chess mate and you need to predict next steps.
Today you pay $750 and safe rebill portfolio, tomorrow you lose a whole business

I sent this over to my ibill account rep and she said they were going to see if they could do something like that. More people should contact their ibill rep with the ccbill info , so then maybe ibill will do the same thing.

I told my ibill rep about epoch rebating and she basically told me not to hold my breath because she doesn't think ibill would do the same.

Maybe if everyone tells them they will have no choice especially with CCbill jumping in and stepping up to the plate.

Though it sucks that ibill would need to be forced into it and can't come up with the idea on its own.. hell I think they still owe me some 900 billings from months ago... If it wasn't for my rebills Id run from that company,... heck with rebills stopping an april the point is moot anyway (if thats true)
