I am sorry, but I don't feel bad for Ed McMahon

No doubt a broadcasting icon and businessman for over 60 yrs, but how can he be broke and losing his house in Beverly Hills?

He says it's due to him breaking his neck over a year ago and not being able to work, as well as two divorces- but let's think about this for a minute.

The man worked for NBC for years as Johnny's sidekick, he owned a piece of and hosted STAR SEARCH, was the picthman for so many products as well as National ClearingHouse.

He won his lawsuit against the builders of his house for black mold and the sickness he encountered from it-
and collected $7 MILLION! so how is Ed broke?

You mean to tell me his divorces wiped him out?

And all of my friends wonder when I am going to settle down and get married

HAH!

im sure he didnt need whatever overly lavish house he bought

a normal nice house is what these people should get

Wow, this is such a contrary opinion and stance, that I, for one, am shocked and appalled!

Actually, no. I couldn't give a shit less.

Yea, I have a hard time understanding also... even with Hollyfield. Is it necessary to have a 54,000 sq ft home?? His yearly taxes were 100k... what a dumbass :2 cents:

eightmotives 06-06-2008 01:40 PM

Sounds like some ignorant shit.

woj 06-06-2008 01:44 PM

that's how shit gets done in the US, buy 110% of what you can afford, then worry about paying for it later... he has exact same problem as every other person going through foreclosure except on a slightly bigger scale...

Stop....

Hammer Time

He has a good accountant. His money is probably under a business account, not his personal account. He's been trying to sell the house, can't, so now he's going to let it foreclose, meanwhile he probably has more money than we'll ever dream of in accounts all over the place. The dude isn't starving, he's found out the American way of getting rid of a house you can't sell and don't want to make the payments on.
