Paypal debit card, add funds from BoA and withdraw at ATM..?
 

hey all, am traveling in asia still and had a vicious ATM machine eat my main card last night... i have my Paypal ATM card w/ me and see that i can add funds from my confirmed primary bank account (Bank of America), am i right in assuming that i can just add funds from my bank to my Paypal account and withdraw cash from ATM machines via my Paypal card?

i realize that a few days would probably be needed for the transfer of funds to be complete, but aside from that is there any reason why i cant do this as i wait for my replacement card to be sent to me? don't want to transfer a lot of cash into my Paypal account if i'm not going to be able to access it w/ my debit card...

Yeah, doing that will take about a week to get the cash. If you need it quicker you can try sending a friend some funds via PayPal and then have him send it back to you the same day. Never tried this myself and not sure if it works but it should credit your PayPal account instantly.

It'll work, I've done it. (Under an almost identical situation). Just allow at least three business days for the transfer.

Why not just call your cc company? They probably will fedex you a new card overnight for free....
