Your wife asked you to stop smoking herb or she is leaving?

3kids/5yrs of marriage

damn near marijuana addiction(if there was such a thing)

wife says stop i say ok, 1 time a week

wife says ok then says wait a min, stop 100%

now, im not gonna take anyone's advice from GFY, I have already made my own decision but i just wanted to see how some of you would react if your spouse or someone you were in a serious relationship asked, oopps TOLD you to stop smoking or they are gone, but u love your sweet herb and its the only thing keeping you together in the 1st place.

When kids are involved it's differant..I would for the kids..for a woman only..nope

if we had no kids i would probably make a compromise where maybe i could smoke on my day off or something like that but if she demanded i stop 100% i would tell her to fuck off

i was raised in a broken home and i dont wanna do it to my kids so i may have to take 1 for the team here. :pimp

For her to take 3 kids away and end a marriage there's got to be a little more to this story. Sounds like there's something going on with you or your behavior that she thinks the smoking is the cause of.

weed doesnt cause any noticeable changes in my behavior except when i am high and that is *respectfully* when she is sleeping. I wait her out then blaze hard.

i dont come home stoned or do stupid shit, i just smoke in peace and smoking herb is the 1 single thing i have thats all mine and something that makes me happy

other than blazing, i go to work/come home/take care of kids/pay bills

but she calls me a nasty drug addicted loser for smoking

the weed isnt changing anything here so its not what u think, shes just getting tired of it for whatever reason

well i didnt exactly say what my decision was, i just stated that i wasnt gonna take anyones advice from gfy and ive already made my own decision then decided to post this thread asking others what they would do

Why don't you ask her to tell you *specifically* what it is about the smoking that she doesn't like? Tell her to make you a list so you can see exactly what you're doing that's pissing her off.

Maybe she thinks you should be in bed with her at night, instead? I work online and I'm a nightowl who doesn't sleep well, so it wouldn't bother me. But I bet a lot of women wouldn't like it if their husbands were up half the night drinking, getting high, and on the internet.

I would try to make a deal , and smoke less , but never give it up unless I´m concious it affects my daily life in a negative way (which doesen´t happen)

you got a point. someone has kids, selfish time is over. She is telling you, you've changed its effecting you time to drop it. Go to na meetings if its that hard to give it up. If you just cant walk away from it,you have a problem. imo

usually the person doing it is the last one to realize its affecting their lives.

If she started to search for a reason to leave you she will find a reason. So don't bother stopping if you think this will save the marriage for the long run I would not try to change myself if she likes you as is now and not as what before be with he if not... :)
