Palm Treo 755p or Blackberry 8830 World Edition

Anyone have any experience with either? I have a Palm Treo now, and I need to either upgrade or move to the Blackberry.

Lets hear what you have to say about either, good or bad. :thumbsup

crackberry for sure

My girl has the 755p. All the issues I have with the 700p are fixed with the new model.

I was playing with a friend's Blackberry 8830 and it's got a much slicker interface compared to the Palm.

I'm holding out on upgrading until the new HTC models come out later this year.

Ok, you heard it here first. Palm is going the way of the dinosaur. Basically, Palm is an old school device that's holding on for dear life - but it's as good as dead. It shouldn't even exist now.

The device to have right now is the Blackberry. I currently have the 8310 Curve which is an absolutely fantastic device and I really cannot say enough good things about it. It's reasonably responsive, VERY reliable especially when it comes to email correspondence, and it's extremely easy to use. And if you're smart, you'll wait about 2 weeks until the Blackberry Bold (aka Blackberry 9000) is released.

The Bold will have a 625mhz processor, HSDPA (3G), Wifi, 480x320 screen, 1gig internal memory, GPS, 2mp camera, support for up to 16gb Micro SDHC cards, and it has a full desktop-style web browser similar -but better- than Opera Mini. And the browser will also support Flash, and streaming flash interfaces such as YouTube.

I agree, I love the touch screen. And the third party apps. :2 cents:

Will the new one be available for Verizon? And will it function overseas?

I believe it's a September release date for Verizon. If I were you, I'd switch to AT&T just for this. And it's Quad Band so it will work overseas.

Neither. I'm a Treo vet. Once you get used to the touch screen anything else is primative. But Treos are definitely going the way of the dinosaur.

Blackberries are only good if you've never used a Treo.

The new HTC Touch Diamond kills them both.
