Whats the most common software licensing in the freelance community? I'm begining to find alot of webmasters want to own absolutely all rights to the software, which for large exensive projects doesn't bother me, but this doesn't alow me to put any of the software in my portfolio.

So whats would you guys suggest as a common tactic to covering this issue?

Just negotiate that you can name the project and describe the project as briefly but as accurately as possible. Put this in the contract if you both agree and you should be able to use it in your resume. I've had the same issue with a programmer I worked with a while back. That was our solution.

When they tell you they want it liscensed to them only...just say "NO". If they want it bad enough, they will still buy it from you.

Just straight out say "FUCK YOU, FIND SOMEONE ELSE THEN".

24 hours later they will come crawling back to you, then jack up your price...dont be someones bitch.
