Tooth pain remedies..
 

Ok so have a dentist appointment in the morning, they could not fit me in today. Was supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed 16 years ago, and put it off. So now a bottom rear molar right beside the wisdom tooth has broken, and Im going to have it extracted tomorrow to free up some space and give me some relief. Ive tried orajel, Pain pills, rinsing with hot salt water, orajel on top of sensitive toothpaste, Jumping up and down on one foot and screaming. Nothing is working. Its a burning white pain in my jaw. Any ideas to wipe out the pain enough for me to get some work done?

Clove oil.

Have it tried it, no worky. Forgot to put that one in my list.

Apply ice cubes on either side of the web between your thumb and index finger tightly.

Try aleve pills. They worked for me one time. Also brush well and floss as close as you can, and then rinse with listerine or something. If you hit the pharmacy again, look for a pain killer near the ora jel called Kanka. It works wonders, but Im not sure if they sell it other than in Mexico.

Have a hand held mirror and a pair of plyers?

If that doesn't work, try slamming a finger in your car door. It should take your mind off of your mouth for a while.

Tried everything but the Kanka Ill look this evening for that.

It has crossed my mind believe me. Most of the pain is due to the pressure of the wisdom teeth pushing on my lower teeth.

3 easy steps to fix it

1. unzip pants
2. pull out dick
3. slam dick in door

Pain is gone from your mouth.

drink heavily, pass out, wake up, go to dentist appt.

if it is that bad a pain not much you can do.

I found that massaging that area also helped... slightly.

Once upon a time, there was a stint for a couple of days that I was actually swishing Orajel and drinking a third-dozen back-to-back shots of grain alcohol in order to get to sleep without waking up from the pain.

Hit the local pushers and get some Percodan ....

Ok either the ice thing started to work, or my 2 additional pain pills kicked in more. Or what I just smoked worked. Either way, bearable for the moment.

Keep the ice on there for a while, it does work.

Best thing to do is find a new dentist...
No real dentist would let you sit there in pain....

My dentist give me 3 emergency numbers, in case of pain....

I was in the same boat about 2 years ago. Had to wait a weekend to get my Wisdom teeth pulled. Unfortunately, nothing I did worked for my tooth pain.

My suggestion is a lot of whiskey.

Ya it comes in spurts too. Which is worse. Start to feel like pain is gone, and shoots right back. Pain goes upto my temple even. Probably they will just pull the broken molar tomorrow though. Will get some space freed up and that molar was sitting almost an 1/8 inch higher than my other teeth. Prob take some sleep / pain meds around 8 and hope I sleep through the night. Gah.. :(

Ive had over 1000mg of Acetaminophen so far today, plus 400mg of asprin. Plus oragel, clove oil, rinsed with hot salt water, etc. Pain subsided again phew.

I know what you're going through. It's one of the oddest and difficult pains to deal with. Mine would come and go. I remember driving home and drinking something that must have hit the spot just right. Had to pull the car over I was in so much pain.

1. Insert Cocaine powder in mouth
2. Relief

I usually take a few Ibuprofen and then I eat some bread. For some reason the bread helps a lot.

Good luck with the removal btw. I had mine removed last week.

Lorcet and antibiotics to the rescue!! Turns out what I thought was my molar was actually my wisdom tooth that popped all the way out of my gum. So Tuesday it gets yanked. They gave me the option of doing it today, but Id rather get some of the swelling and infection gone before they make it hurt worse. Ears are ringing from the first Lorcet woot! :smokin

I feel your pain man, sorry you're dealing with it because it can be excruciating. I had one pulled on CHRISTMAS DAY once it was so bad. Doctor came in and opened up for me in his street clothes, gotta love that huh.

For future reference to have handy in any medicine cabinet: Gly-Oxide. Supermarket or pharmacy will have it in the toothpaste/oral care aisle.

It works because the infection can only survive in an oxygen free environment. The glyoxide will penetrate down along the tooth and oxygenate the area, which kills the bacteria.

Listerine, force it into that area of your mouth and just hold it there for 5 minutes +

I had a broken wisdom tooth and did that. The non-stop pain became more and more numb and then just went away. I topped it off with 2 advils and I was good for the whole day.

Went through a 1/2er over last few days, and while it helps me forget about the pain, its still there lol. Ill be using that along with the lorcet tonight and over the weekend lol.

800Mg ibuprofen every like 4 hours will take care of most of the swelling which causes the really bad pains... beyond that the hot salt water, peroxide (bubbles in your mouth and helps quite a bit)

The worst pain is actually INFECTION related... If you have anti biotics around START THEM IMMEDIATELY! You will never get your tooth pulled until anti biotic knocks the worst shit out.

I had something just like this not that long ago... I think I even bitched about it on ICQ at ya LOL

ya think you did lol. I had 500mg ibuprofen pills last time I was having pain they didnt seem to do much though. Already started antibiotics have to take 3 per day.

Been doing the hot salt water too.

the kind with alcohol in it

take a swig
swish around your mouth for a good while
then spit out

Get the gly-oxide for the next time though. Trust the toothless old man, lol.

This may sound weird but try 1 tea spoon of cinammon and about 5 spoons of Honey. Make a paste with all that and apply to your tooth until the pain is gone.

Haven't tried it myself, but its an old trick that supposedly work. Good luck.

Cauterize the nerve. One shot of extreme pain to end the pain. Pour peroxide in the tooth, heat a pin or nail, bend the tip, heat it back to red - and burn the peroxide out of the tooth and the nerve will Cauterize and seal up.

Ok first dentist could not get full tooth. Have some root left yet. So off to oral surgeon tomorrow wee. Least I might get put under this time lol

when I had mine pulled the guy had to end up using a chisel thing to snap it in half then drilled into both pieces and pulled them... Hurt like hell even though I was completely numb... I was actually given the choice to get knocked out and said I could handle it... ended up wishing I'd have been put out!

Also I ended up ripping my stitches out too early, when they say don't pick at they're for real dude. When a couple pieces of the stitches started poking me and I thought I was healed up good enough I cut the knot and slowly pulled the string out.... ended up bleeding like crazy!
