What's the strangest thing you feed your pet?
 

I have a cat that won't eat anything but dry cat food unless I give her some Hillshire Farm Oven Roasted Turkey. She doesn't like the other turkey brands. weird.

Haha - my cats both LOVE packaged lunch meat. They know the minute I get it out of the fridge. Like you I also only let them eat dry food and the rare can of wet food as a treat, but they go mad for lunch meat.

On the more bizarre side, one of my cats LOVES green beans and edamame. I have no idea why, but when she senses I have some, she goes crazy and can't get enough...

green beans are a weird cat food indeed.

If I am eating it my little dog wants some. I have tried everything from brussle sprouts to cucumber slices covered with pepper flakes (shits and giggles) and the thing still eats it. However if it does not see me eating it, it wants nothing to do with it if its dropped in its bowl. Exception being is if it see's it fall from work space while in kitchen. Then it again knows its our food that fell.

She does have a real strong fetish for popcorn though.

I tried chesse, no go. then scrambled eggs.. nada... only Hillshire Farm.. Go Meat!

Probably crisps.... Or marmite. Not sure which one is weirder :)

My girlfriend has a cat that will growl at her if she teases it with turkey meat, once you give it to him hes fine and dandy again.

We have one cat that freaks out over nacho cheese from taco bell, he will steal corned beef right off your plate.
One dog that we found out yesterday love the klausen kosher dill pickles and he love mango and cantaloupe

Chocolate
Candy or anything containing Xylitol (a common sweetener found in some diet products)
Grapes and raisins

My dog will do anything for carrots. I call her my little carrot disposal. She also used to eat apples from a low apple tree. She wouldn't even pluck them off, she'd just leave the bare cores hanging from the branches!

I have two cats, one of them used to love canned mushrooms when he was a kitten, now he eats tuna, deli meats, and cheese doodles lol. The other one is a little thief and will jack any type of chicken or steak you're eating if he's around and you're not paying attention.

One of our dogs loves coleslaw, with the vinaigrette.

when we moving in our house, it was time to feed shorty my boston. I had no dog food,but had those big ass sam's club tuna cans. He ate it up like it was the best thing he ever tasted.

I didn't exactly feed it to her, but on this night my chihuahua-mutt grabbed an eggrole from the trash and was willing to fight to the death to keep it. She looked possessed so I had to snap a pic.

made mistake of giving the dog expensive Bottled Water... now the stupid mutt wont drink the tap water..... Man we are dumb!!!!

My dog will eat anything! When she sees me eating she'll put her sad little face on my lap until i feed her.

It's not really part of her regular diet but once the vet prescribed some feline antibiotics, in a paste that was CHOCOLATE flavoured! For a cat!

There's only one or two things my dog won't eat. The funniest thing has to be when you give him a packet of crisps unopened. He opens them up the way we would and proceeds to eat them from the pack all neat and tidy. Then leaves the empty pack lying on the floor when he's done. I should get it on video one day.

My Dog LOVES thin pretzels with no salt on them. Goes mental for them when we have them in the house.

She will not eat Lettuce at all ... Mostly anything else that we are eating she'll beg like mad for.

One Thanksgiving we were cooking here and when the turkey came out of the oven she nearly jumped up into the oven to snag a bite, totally freaked out barking until she had a piece. You'd think she never ate before :)

My one cat Flea was a homeless street thug till I took him in. So he will eat absolutely anything. If your not watching what your doing he will do a drive by attack and steal food of your plate and if you try and take it.. well he'll attempt to eat your hand and brand your face with a claw. I kind of let him do what he wants LOL

Dogs ARE omnivores though they tend to like meat AND fruit/veg.

The craziest I get is cracking a raw egg over the cats and dog's food once every few weeks to help promote healthy shiney coats :)

Its not strange what I feed my dogs but what they steal and eat. My one dog steals work gloves and eats them. My other will steal paper towels out of the trash and chew on them (usually the ones used to clean up any food related spills and such).

And that something you can't resist! :disgust
