Is it strange to exercise in the gym wearing sunglasses? Would u laugh?

No, I do not do this.

But imagine if you saw someone in the gym working out but wearing sunglasses. Would you think it was weird/funny/laugh or would you think it's normal? What would you think?

After Shock Media 06-04-2008 03:11 AM

Wouldnt laugh, wouldnt really think its that normal either but enough people wear sun glasses all the time now that I would end up just ignoring it.

aico 06-04-2008 03:13 AM

I'd probably assume they were prescription sunglasses.

I think it would be funnier if you had a friend named Lomb and you two went around telling everyone you were Baush & Lomb.

CunningStunt 06-04-2008 03:39 AM

Only fags go to the gym.

Jens Van Assterdam 06-04-2008 03:40 AM

i would lmao!!!

baX 06-04-2008 03:41 AM

I don't find that funny at all. I saw a guy wearing sunglasses in my gym few months ago. Lots of people these days have a problem with strong light. I try to wear mine as much as possible coz this stupid computer is killing my eyes.

The Duck 06-04-2008 03:48 AM

I dont think wearing them all the time is good for you.

kmanrox 06-04-2008 03:52 AM

i'd laught my ass off then stare at him like YOU SCHMUCK cuz i know he'd be too afraid to say shit to me

Ashley023 06-04-2008 04:36 AM

It's normal, if your eyes are sensitive to garish light

rip raster 06-04-2008 06:22 AM

When I am at the gym I tend to focus on my workout and not what others are or not wearing. Plus there has been the odd time that I have worn my sunglasses (mostly on my forehead/brim of my ball cap) while at the gym if what I am wearing has no pockets to put them in. There are certain exercises that I have to wear them correctly or they just end up falling off, and I have broken a pair in the past as a result. Now I try to leave them in the car but sometimes I forget and I can't leave them in the car when the top is down.

I really prefer to not wear sunglasses at all while indoors. I find that it's usually too dark and I see better without them while indoors.

Spunky 06-04-2008 06:23 AM

Does seem odd that somebody would

Sarah_Jayne 06-04-2008 06:25 AM

Depends. Are you blind?

Jens Van Assterdam 06-04-2008 06:26 AM

Only Terminator wears sunglasses in the gym!

BuggyG 06-04-2008 06:56 AM

yup
all the time.. I think it's stoopid wearing them indoors
especially people who wear them in clubs/bars and it's already fuckin dark inside

it does not look cool at all.. just look like a fucking idiot
in my opinion

Some women might feel uncomfortable without their eye makeup on and therefore prefer wearing sunglasses to cover up their eyes. It would be a pain to do eye makeup for the gym and then have to wash it off when you get home due to sweatiness and have to do everything all over again.

Others would want to wear sunglasses because they don't want to make eye contact with others during their workout or want to be "incognito".

I think both could be reasons why people would wear sunglasses in the gym.

Sarah_Jayne 06-04-2008 07:32 AM

pah, if you are going to sweat and move in a way that lets other people see your body jiggle and wiggle then get over not wearing eye makeup

Holly 06-04-2008 07:44 AM

Yes, it's strange. Yes, I would laugh. A lot.

TommyM 06-04-2008 07:51 AM

Yeah guess I would laugh too - but then again I would never set foot in a gym either :)

Brad 06-04-2008 07:53 AM

I've seen it a few times, never really thought much of it. They are probably prescription shades.

I've got one for you though...what do you think about the guy drinking coffee and working out. It just doesn't seem to make sense.

tranza 06-04-2008 07:57 AM

I would laught!

Not sure. Perhaps he needs caffeine for energy in order to work out? I have never seen anyone do this. Usually working out by itself is enough to energize/revitalize me.

Monique Niccole 06-04-2008 08:03 AM

I'd laugh and point and laugh some more.

SykkBoy 06-04-2008 08:11 AM

I would laugh and make "retard" gestures...then I'd take off the sunglasses so everyone else would stop laughing...

Anna_Miller 06-04-2008 08:30 AM

It depends though if it looks like its someone who needs them or it is someone dressed up in full make up with bufont hair and big hoop earrings. That would make me snicker.

Yes, but I had my penis removed years ago. Sometimes I miss it though...like a phantom limb :(

this thread just took a weird turn

carol.prime 06-04-2008 08:52 AM

yes, its strange but ill just ignore it. maybe they have some eyes problem..

Adam_OC3 06-04-2008 08:56 AM

I've seen guys wearing flip-flops in the gym, not that smart...but never shades.

sniperwolf 06-04-2008 09:15 AM

yes, it's strange to see people wearing sunglasses inside a gym but I won't laugh.

Would simply deliver a mock statement! lol j/k

cleopatra0628 06-04-2008 09:26 AM

So it is about you.

JamesK 06-04-2008 09:30 AM

Why would I give a fuck what other people are wearing? I'm at the gym to workout, not criticize the looks of other people.

If someone wants to wear a pink tutu and sunglasses that's their problem.

Ofcourse it is about her. Every thread she makes is about her, but because she got insulted so much she decided to take a different approach.

I totally agree :)

MakingItPay 06-04-2008 10:28 AM

I suppose it would depend on the person's reasoning. If he had a big oozing sore under his eye, I would thank him. If he had a light sensitivity issue, I would understand. If he got a black eye while training full contact, I would respect it. If he thought he was so cool he should wear shades everywhere, I would think he was an asshat. ;)

Adultnet 06-04-2008 10:33 AM

if she was a fine looking woman I would ask her ... if she would like to pass to a place with some more sun and interesting things to do
but other wise i would not care..:)

Pornwolf 06-04-2008 10:40 AM

Bausch posts always deliver! LOL

chelo - adultcopywriters 06-04-2008 10:41 AM

I wouldn't care at all, but it is kinda weird.

woj 06-04-2008 10:49 AM

I would point and laugh, would probably take a picture too, and would post it all over the internet....

M0nk 06-04-2008 10:52 AM

I would think he/she just had a rought night......

ER!C L!VE 06-04-2008 10:53 AM

Totally normal, bro. Especially in the men's locker room. :cool-as-a

http://technopress.blogspot.com/2008...eless-lcd.html

VeriSexy 06-04-2008 10:55 AM

I would say wtf, but I would not laugh

Persius 06-04-2008 11:29 AM

yes i actually saw a douche bag doing it the other day.. wtf

tehHinjew 06-04-2008 09:07 PM

maybe the guy got punched in the face

Sly 06-04-2008 09:11 PM

I would spasm and uncontrollably stab her with a rusty screwdriver.

Trixie 06-04-2008 09:14 PM

I would think it was weird, but being forced to think about it this way reminds me that people with Asperger's are really sensitive to florescent lighting, etc. I myself hate it, but it never occurred to me to wear sunglasses at the gym because I'm also really sensitive to having shit on my face. Not shit, exactly, but . . . you know.

I did see a chick wearing long dangly earrings at the gym and I did send mean "what the fuck is wrong with you" vibes towards her, but that was mostly because she turned the florescent lights on even though everyone else was perfectly happy with the natural light from the skylights. Maybe if I'd have been wearing sunglasses this wouldn't have bothered me so much and I wouldn't even have noticed her earrings.

Trixie 06-04-2008 09:15 PM

make that anybody on the autism spectrum . . .

tony286 06-04-2008 09:17 PM

Many many years ago when I used to go to the gym.lol I didnt focus on people I focused on working out. I was in my space.

Kudles 06-04-2008 09:38 PM

Yes it is weird.
