A plus? Shouldn't that be a requirement? There's nothing worse than dealing with an affiliate rep who can't find her ass with both hands. Reps like that are a dime a dozen these days.

A little off topic but why do online companies keep hiring people whose only experience with being a webmaster is butchering their myspace page? Do webmasters with real experience cost too much money? Not that you'll get lucky enough to get another Sarah but at least try. Maxcash rules, just get a rep that is worthy.

Yes, but that depends on the candidate, their experience and track record :winkwink:

I agree to a LARGE extent, however - there are extenuating circumstances that would allow me to hire one without webmaster skills.

For example: Max Cash is my baby to run. I have 12 years worth of hands on experience and made my partners, associates, content producers, affiliates and myself millions and millions of dollars over the years. Truth is, I can't code a page for shit and consider myself a "techtard". YET - I know how to make deals, sell, market, create a product, execute and MAKE PEOPLE $$$!

If I could find someone with a quarter of my experience, contacts, knowledge, enthusiasm and drive ... yet also NO webmaster skills - I'd hire them in a heartbeat :winkwink:

BTW - Sarah rules! :thumbsup

Bottom line: I took over 3 months ago and we're rebuilding, restructuring, hired a new design manager, new editors, new programmers, now affiliate reps, etc. We've got 9 new sites in development, plus redesigns of some classics, new tools, a new version of MaxCash.com coming PLUS a whole new Gay Division in development. Trust me, Maxcash rules now - but we are going to rock so much harder in the months to come :winkwink:

Are you willing to interview ducks?

Yngwie 06-03-2008 09:36 PM

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-03-2008 09:51 PM

I been doing alot of SEO lately and alot of Promoting and marketing.

How is it if you have no technical ability yet you are a master at such things?
You ever even seen some of Google tools to even get the basics of online marketing or promotion?

How do you base a big media ad buy out when addressing a technical spread of keywords and traffic trends?

Because there is no way in hell you can actually market and promote without knowing the technical logistics of even a single niche.

I am going to call your claim as a master bullshit:)

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-03-2008 09:58 PM

I been in offices where such said master's of innovation basically sit and play PS2 all day and get yelled at by the boss occassionaly yet makes 6 figures.

I think it proves something but I am not sure what. Because I know I have worked hard in the past only for some schmuck to take credit on my concepts and executions.

Thats what bothers me about companies and organizations.

Good luck on the Hunt J$tyles.

Thurbs 06-03-2008 10:12 PM

hire Big D .. he's got drive :)

sicone 06-03-2008 10:13 PM

Yo Jay. I'm the man hit you up tomorrow cuz I'm adding vodka and patron to my system at this moment

Yngwie 06-03-2008 10:31 PM

I'd apply, but there are people way more capable and experienced for this job. The company needs someone that will do more than just the minimum requirements. :)

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-03-2008 11:03 PM

Just note also aside from my bad post I goto say Jstyles is definatly a master at the networking game.

That he can tank to the bank all day long:)

A) I am not, nor have i claimed to be any master
B) By employing professional "ad buyers" and paying them a slice based on production we get the best of the best with all the knowledge and still come out profitably on top + gain invaluable knowledge ourselves.

It's all a work in progress :winkwink:

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-03-2008 11:33 PM

I am thinking Big D.

Seems as though he has quite a technical mind to:)

Not sure anybody can handle more than one of me. I take up enough room as it is. Seriously though, that was a very nice thing to say.

I am built for cuddles :) And those cheeks are staying. I have pictures of me as a skinny kid (I was skinny for a few years..lol) and my cheeks are still uber chubby.

If you still have one hand free to answer icq then I say give it a shot. I often work one handed but only because there is a pug in the other hand.

Andy Servers4Less 06-04-2008 06:22 AM

Good luck in the search Jstyles

Jman 06-04-2008 06:23 AM
