whats nuts is that my mom watches his fanatical nonsense EVERY DAY - even watches the repeats! then she preaches his bologna to me...

my mom is a smart woman who doesnt even share most of his political views, yet somehow, he pulls her in with his lame entertainment value - BIZARRE!

I don't know anything about Glenn Beck and I don't know why anyone would. He is on at the same time as the most intelligent person on TV, Lou Dobbs.

Maybe because he also has a daily, nationally syndicated 3 hr radio show too...

My thoughts?
I don't care much for him, yep he does come off very doom and gloom on many subjects, the surprising thing is (at least on his radio show) when the topic isn't politics or some serious subject, he can be quite funny and I've often thought he would be much more palatable to people if he stuck to that format.

My biggest gripe with him is he is very judgemental on any morality type subjects.

The most irritating thing about him (at least to me) is he reads fairly lengthy, prepared subject matter on his radio shows in a style that emulates a ministers soft spoken sermon in both cadance and somehow always seems to contain a "message" as most sermons do.

I don't have any problem listening to an opposing view, but I really don't care to be preached to, even if I agree 100%. That approach just rubs me wrong.

Sometime his points are right but he is a tool. Also his stance on gun rights border on fantatical. I'm thinking if he lives in such a bad neigborhood his wife has to carry a gun MOVE THE FUCK OUT. His pro-religion stance bothers me. Claims he's for anyone believe or not in anything they want. Yet thinks is OK to have Christianity pushed on everyone. You can't have it both ways. He also thinks gobal warming is a hoax. That right there makes me dismiss anythng he says. He and Dennis Miller should suck each other off. what gets me he is against using CFL lightbulbs. WHY? They actually cost LESS in the long run and they SAVE you money on your electric bill. WOW what a bad thing. Not to mention how help with the enviroment. Anyone using normal lightbulbs is an idiot.
