SEO Link question
Common situation: Someone creates an A name for their domain like store.domain.com and has it auto-forwarded from their server to a another url, like say a video store sponsor (gamelink.com etc). A number of other unrelated sites all over the internet link to that store.domain.com link.
Question: Will those various links to store.domain.com create a link relationship associated with domain.com for the purposes of the search engines raking of the domain.com site the same as all the outside links from miscellaneous sites that simply link directly to domain.com? The idea being the more links to your site the better, so would using the sub-domain and the A name forwarding to a sponsor or wherever be of just as much use as links to domain.com?
