Types of people you socialise with.
 

On a recent television show in Australia a young bloke of about 18 or so made the statement that he would not socialise with the likes of a brick layer or any older people.

The dude is studying for a law degree.


Is a persons career in any way important to you when deciding who you might socialise with?


What about age? Is there an upper or lower age limit to which you feel applies to whom you should socialise with?

Most of my friends here in town are hippies, like big time hippies, and I notice if I hang out with them enough I get unproductive, but when I hang out with like minded people I get more creative

so, yeah, I think who you socialize with plays a HUGE part in success

Depends on what you are trying to achieve yourself and if you feel that associating with someone could in some way bring you down...

Put it this way... I have not taken drugs for over ten years... I would happilly associate with someone who smoked weed, or did a line of coke at the weekend... Not a problem... Wouldn't bother me at all....

Would I socialize with a heroin addict? No. Because I wouldn't have anything in common, wouldn't want to be tempted (If the stuffs infront of me... Just being honest) and I wouldn't want the association between us to become apparent to anyone in the police authorities....

So, its up to you who you choose to hang with, whatever thier status or your reasons...

I stopped socializing when they removed my voice cords and larynx. I mean chatting is important.

I socialize with anyone, but I prefer to socialize with those that at least have something in common with me...

I don't socialize unless forced to do so.
