VX2100 users - Have a question - HELP!!!

I've had several of these and now I'm on the road with one that was just sent back to me from a repair shop. This is the first time I have ever noticed it could be turned off, but my battery display (how much battery time I have left) is now gone and I can't find where to turn it back on.

The "display" button of course turns on and off the SP / LP, video time and such, but I've never noticed if it did the battery as well.

I didn't think it would be a huge problem at first but my batteries are wearing out faster than I think they should and the cam is shutting down on me with no warning. :Oh crap

Did the repair shop mess this up, or am I over looking a very simple setting?

Help!

I hate when people do this.....

It's like when you lose something and some idiot says, "Well where was the last place you had it?"....

I don't see what the problem is with that. If the cops are looking for a suspect, a dispatcher might say they were last seen at so and so street. Same goes for a situation where a child is missing or something.

I'm using mine right now, and when I hit the display button it does take the battery timer off too. It also takes a few seconds for it "to read" the battery time when I turn on the camera (and display is on).
