So is funding gambling sites still illegal in the US?

I lost track of the whole port act and the blocking of funds from banks to betting sites. No idea where it stands today.

How to Americans play poker? :Oh crap

Yes it is. I guess there are some companies out there that you can get accounts with that are like epass (but not epass) and use them to fund your account. I have never used them but I heard you can use net teller (but I'm not sure if that is accurate or not)

Neteller is also off limits to US bank accounts.

I heard prepaid credit cards work. But that was before the ban right after neteller went down.

YES - I have seen many upset Americans complaining about this in post on our site, and others. I have also read there are ways around it, but If you are an American - I would suggest you to be very careful!

And yet more and more (offline) casinos than ever. Mixed signals.

Vote BARR/ROOT in 08 for legalized online gambling!

I think the only legal model for US surfers is to offer a monthly fee and hold tournaments that offer prize money. So technically they aren't gambling and betting money.

The problem with that is that banks are blocking any payments to these sites so US surfers still have no way to pay for a monthly membership unless they are going to get a money order and mail it in.

I think there are loads of loop holes though
