Rupert Murdoch Endorses Obama.... weird
First Mccaine loses staff members who refuse to campaign against Obama and now Rupert admits he was behind the NY times endorsement for Obama
http://d6.allthingsd.com/20080529/vi...ma-and-mccain/ He seems like he might be a level headed guy I dont understand why he dosent get FOX in order |
Because there is more money in cotroversy and war. Hes no dummy.
|
there are a lot of Republicans who hate McCain - enough to vote for Obama banking on him being a redux of Jimmy Carter, a one term failure setting the table for another Republican - maybe Jeb Bush if his brother hasn't tarnished the Bush 'brand' too much.
makes sense - whoever gets elected is being handed a pretty big fucking mess and as usual the sitting president will take a lot of the blame for it. |
That guy needs to make up his mind.

Rupert Murdoch is not stupid. He is a businessman and opportunist.
Mccain is almost certainly going to lose unless someone kills obama. Murdoch seems to want to go with public opinion. It is not uncommon that businessmen and corporations will support both the republican and the democrat in the same race. If the winner is clear, then they may only give money to the winner. America may be entering a new era when entertainment news is less popular. If Americans become very poor, they may watch less news (even if it is entertaining) and start watching more fantasy/fiction/drama/action/comedy shows to forget about reality. The more important question is .... will Obama support Murdoch? I am sure Obama will be flooded with donations from corporations and rich business people because they will hope to be treated nicely by Obama after he wins. How will this affect Obama? I don't know. |

I honestly believe a large part of corporate america is scared to death of an Obama president. I was watching fox one day and they had some big time CEO on there and he was saying that Obama was going to kill american corporations because he wants to reverse the trend in outsourcing overseas that means corps will have to pay more for US labor and thus less profits for shareholders and CEO's |
I believe that most power in America is held by military and corporations and a small number of very rich men. Civilian government is much weaker. If Obama threatens them enough, they will take serious action against him, which could lead to Obama's demise. I doubt Obama can fight these guys and win. killing obama would be easy. the problem would be the consequences after it happened, such as riots, revolution. businessmen usually don't like riots and revolutions but some military guys might like some chaos to gain power. Also, watch out for conservative jews in high places (such as Robert Murdoch). I am sure a few of them would love to kill obama if they thought it would help israel. Example - Larry silverstein
new fuel economy laws are not a serious threat to detroit auto makers. people already can't afford gas guzzlers anymore. and changing some labor outsourcing laws is also not a big difference. If this is all he is about, then it sounds like he will be like Bill Clinton, a moderate democrat. If Obama tries to cut military spending by 50% or more, then we would see some shit start to happen. Some people say JFK was killed because he messed with the Federal Reserve. We'll see how big Obama's balls are. |

Some of the richest business men and largest market investors in America highly back Obama. These groups normally talk Republican but always go the direction they think will make them the most money.

Doesn't Murdoch own all of the Fox Network? If so then I don't think it's too weird to think he might be a liberal instead of a conservative. The Fox network always had the trashiest (which I like) shows on. I think Murdoch just goes with what makes money. I know I would. Wasn't it a couple of years ago that the Dems in the Senate were trying to say that they were treated "unfairly" on Fox News and were actually going to have hearings on it? LOL! And I believe that Murdoch made a statement that basically said that if the liberals had anybody that was entertaining on television he would put them up right away.
I personally think that the old pendulum is getting ready to swing back left anyway. When I first watched The O'Reilly Factor in it's first year...it was pretty damn good. I had never seen a "reporter" get in a Senators face and call him a liar. I liked that. But now it seems that O'Reilly has made a complete ass out of himself and just makes shit up to go after. It never seems to be much of an important national issue anymore. It's shit like the cheerleader coach doing the sexy cheer in front of her teenage students and O'Reilly "reports" it like it was a nuclear showdown between Russia and the U.S. Anyway, I used to watch O'Reilly everynight for years. Now I change the channel. Same with Hannity and Colmes. Sean Hannity is just starting to sound as shrill as the libs were a few years ago. I'd like to see a news show with a host that was politically unbiased (or at least as much as that is possible) and would call a spade a spade on every issue instead of spouting party lines. |

Does anyone else find it strange that BLACK people DO NOT support OBAMA!?!
Oprah doesn't count. It doesn't matter who is elected next. It will be the beginning of the end. |

The PNAC can not control McCain so they will take a poison pill and screw up things even more for the next President. That's what Daddy Bush did. Bush already started bashing the idea of negotiating with enemies in Israel a few weeks ago. I've always felt that the economic plans of the past 8 years have to be make quick money for the supporters, get out and blame all the long term problems on the next President making way for the next PNAC member that will really destroy this country. |
Don't forget - the conservatives would rather see McCain against Obama than against Clinton. Once the dems have their nominee most repubs will back McCain.
|
What does PNAC stand for?
