Got Web Host Offers SEO Shared Hosting

You spoke, we listened.

Got Web Host, the original SEO web hosting company, is now providing SEO Shared Hosting plans. SEO shared web hosting is the latest in the multiple virtual and dedicated hosting plans offered by the company.

Director of Sales & Business Development, Lloyd Brown, said of the addition, "these virtual hosting plans provide IP's across multiple Class C like our other SEO web hosting plans, however, we will share the IP's rather than providing dedicated IP's like we do on our other virtual plans. These plans are for people that don't feel the need for dedicated IP's but still want to spread their sites across multiple Class C's."

Tanya Martin, Director of Internet Marketing, added, "These are the only plans that come with shared IP's and user level control panels. Our other SEO virtual web hosting plans will continue to provide reseller level control panels and dedicated IP's, as we always have."

In order to ensure reliable service, these shared plans will have limitations on some features such as the number of domains and MySQL databases, but for the webmaster that is on a budget, these value plans are a great option. With up to nine different Class C ranges available, each IP will come with its own control panel login. It is a little more work, but the saving make up for it.

"Too many times I hear and read about web hosts that oversell their virtual servers causing unnecessary downtime for the web sites. We have designed these plans in such a manner that this will not become an issue. It also gives the webmaster the opportunity to test our reliability and customer service so when it comes time to upgrade they will know what to expect," Brown stated.

Probably because nobody who actually matters or cares uses his hosting services.

Celeb Fan 05-27-2008 03:03 PM

LOL

Fact of the matter is that most of the hosting companies that are offering virtual SEO plans provide shared IP's, which is why they sell them so cheap. We have always provided dedicated IP's because we feel that is much better SEO.

However, there are those that feel shared IP's are okay. We are not going to try and convince you one way or the other, but rather will offer either option.

2 Questions:
1) Whats the price per gig for overage
2) Do you provide SSH access and the ability to run perl scripts from the shell login over the ips assigned (ie: can I run a perl script and bind it to the assigned ips I have from the SSH login provided)

Thanks
WG

WiredGuy 05-27-2008 05:43 PM

And third question, is it possible to pay extra for extra IP's (within the same C-block or for a different C-block). I'm assuming the maximum on the 9 C-block package here.

1) The overage amount would be based on how much you needed. Ranges from $.75/gig down to $.15/gig

2) SSH access is not provided on the shared IP plans.

Yes, you can purchase up to 40 additional IP's spread over 8 Class C's.

Dedicated only I assume then?

I don't think I understand the question. Other than our SEO Shared Hosting plans, all plans (dedicated and virtual) come with dedicated IP's and SSH (user level) access. Of course, all dedicated plans come with root level access.

Basically, I have perl scripts that I want to run via a shell over the different ip addresses assigned to my account. I need SSH/shell access for that. Is that only available on dedicated servers or shared servers?

I already have a similiar setup over 20 different C-blocks that I did myself between hosts, so there's no advantage here unless I can do it over a shared account as that would save the cost of the dedicated server. So if it's possible over a shared account, I'm interested, if I need a dedicated, I'm not interested.

Let's make it easy:

Virtual plans that come with SSH Access and dedicated IP's

http://gotwebhost.com/seo-virtual-hosting.html
http://gotwebhost.com/web_hosting.html
http://gotwebhost.com/hb-virtual-hosting.html

Virtual plans that come shared IP's and no SSH access

http://gotwebhost.com/shared-servers.html

I like these HB package plans but just 1 IP in the c-block wont be enough. Any way to add more IP's over different C-blocks?

That particular server only has one C on it. That does not mean I can't up the bandwidth for you on our SEO plans. Just tell me how much you need.

Disk space has some limitations, but yes, additional space is available.

Baddog and Tanya get the MojoHost vote for virtual hosting. I give them a lot of credit for staying focused on their service offerings and working hard to deliver solutions in an area that needs good service providers.

Two thumbs up!

Brad

Ok, basically, I need at least 5 IP's over 5 different C-blocks. Absolute minimum of 50 gig of bandwidth but would prefer a sliding scale to upto 200 gigs, I don't need much hard disk, 1-2 gigs would do. Shared IP's doesn't matter, must have SSH access with perl and ability to install perl modules if they aren't installed (most are standard).

You would want our Virtual 5C (far left). Comes with 5 IP's on 5 C's with 5 nameservers. It comes with dedicated IP's which, while you may not require, would be the only way you would get SSH access.

We can work out a deal on the bandwidth overage, however, prepaid bandwidth is the least expensive way to go. However, we are not like those hosts that suspend services if you go over.

I'm looking at the prepaid bw page, and I'm not seeing any bw packages for down to .15 like you said. How much bw would it take to bring down the price per gig to that?

You had just recommended this plan before: http://gotwebhost.com/seo-virtual-hosting.html

Now you're going back to the high bandwidth ones? Which one is it?

I am only pointing to the high bandwidth page to see the breakdown on pricing for bandwidth.

For your ease:

100 gig - .35
200 gig - .30
400 gig - .25
600 gig - .20
800 gig - .15

Ok so lm not going to try to sell you on Lloyds services but I can tell you the guy is dedicated to his job and is a true pro.

What does that mean? well we got sold on webair it looked really slick and we banked it all on them.

The result no service..no support nothing .....big mistake ....and we had to move.

Looking back we should have chosen a host not only for its slick look but for its after service when we had a problem..we didnt and we learned the hard way.

Summary ..Im not saying go with Lloyd but if you do l will stake my rep on the fact you will not encounter lack of support or effort from this guy and his team.

Claire :thumbsup

Then you do not want our shared virtual. We have well over 100 Class C's available on both dedicated and virtual plans, all of which come with dedicated IP's. We have many customers that host over 10,000 domains with us, so feel free to contact me directly if you want to see what kind of custom plan we can come up with for you.
