Going back to DEKSTOP from LAPTOP.. NEED HELP...
 

Ok so I am going back to a desktop after 4 years of using a laptop exclusively.

I need some help.

I dont mind dropping some cash on something good but I need to know what kinda shit I could get that didnt exist 4 years ago... I heard about this lightscribe shit.. thats cool.. what else? I use it only for watching porn, playing nhl 2008, emailing, outlook, surfing the web, msn, icq etc...

desktop PC parts are way cheaper than Lps..and ofcourse you can get way better video cards for it too..I shop at outpost.com..

go for a quadcore for sure with about 3-4 gig of ram and 2 great video cards, then run 4 monitors :)

go big...extra vid card extra ram...the biggest processor out there...quadcore etc

and you should be fine

if you like to do everything at the same time like me, just get a Quad and unleash hell :1orglaugh


If you need performance for games, maybe a Quadcore it's a waste of money, just get a core 2 duo and a goood video card ... or 2 :thumbsup , don't forget 4 gigs of ram is always great, put the money on the video card !!
