xBuy.com - Sounds like a used-goods store/site name. If you market it well, and design it well, and drive traffic to it by other means, it's worth a lot. It depends on what you are willing to pay, and how much you feel it is worth. It's all relative. If you have another domain in mind for the same site, then xBuy.com becomes less valuable, but if it's your only domain, make a decent offer, but make some room for bargaining too.

Just make up your own domain. If you are concerned about $500 or $1000, then just get another one. If you're not concerned about the bucks, and you like the domain, then buy it. It's not about domain names...it's about traffic. Period.

Seriously I owuldn't pay more than 8.95 for a domain because that is how much godaddy.com sells them for.

Not a bad name, it's short and has kind of a meaning to it.

You'd have to craft it into something. Don't know what but guess you're already thinking of something otherwise you wouldn't be contemplating it.

$1000 is not unreasonable.

1000.00 is probably a good bet as it is short, easy to remeber, and if developed properly could probably do well.
